The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"That, in fact, what’s going on, George, is that this is a proxy war with China. The Chinese are funding the Russian war by buying Russian oil. They're coordinating with the Iranians to provide lethal weapons to the Russian army." Former NJ Gov. Chris Christie

With the amount of guts you have you should be interviewed by Tucker Carlson.

“I know the people now better than anybody has ever known. The people I know, the good ones, the bad ones, the dumb ones, the smart ones.” President Donald Trump

Quote III

"Any person has the right to live in a house worthy of him; it is one of the necessities of human life," Hassan al-Sayyida, a researcher and human rights activist at the Palestinian Association for Human Rights

The Bizarre Case of Teenager Who Was Killed by a Hickey on His Neck

A 17-year-old Mexican teenager died because of a brain embolism allegedly caused by the hickey his older girlfriend left on his neck during a date.

There is a viral video going around Latino TikTok these days about the tragic story of Julio Macías González, a 17-year-old teenager from Iztapalapa, Mexico, who died in 2016 because of a hickey. In the viral video, which has been doing the rounds online for about a week, an AI avatar of young Julio tells the tale of how he died after collapsing during dinner at his parents’ house. On August 25, 2016, while making out with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Julio got a hickey on his neck, but he didn’t think anything of it. After all, young lovers give themselves hickeys all the time, and they’re considered virtually harmless. But what the teen boy didn’t know was that in very rare cases, they can apparently be deadly…

The ONT Is Always Looking Out For YouTM Even our friend Charlie Brown's Dildo. I really hope there isn't an opening for the Mid-Day Art Thread and several other threads here at the AoS.

You’ve probably seen headlines like this (“Raw Oysters Linked to Two Deaths”) at some point: It’s not the first time doctors have warned people about eating raw oysters.

Oysters—like clams, mussels, scallops, sponges, krill, baleen whales, and others—are known as “filter feeders.” They feed by eating plankton and extracting nutrients from the water, and they are very good at it. Bivalves (the animal class oysters belong to) are high in protein, and have been a staple in our diet over the past 165,000 years. The problem arises when our planet’s climate changes, and the customs and systems in place that have been working in harmony turn deadly for us.

Is eating raw oysters becoming more dangerous?

This is not a Republican vs. Democrat story. This is the story of the US Government too big to succeed. Sure let the US Government take over our health care. They do such a fine job at everything they do.

If you are going to improve the burgers, that's great. How about getting some caring staff?

With over eighty years in the industry, the McDonald's menu has phased through many different items, testing out different treats and offering a variety of upgraded meals for a stellar price.

Now, the chain is planning some major changes to the way they cook and prepare its iconic burgers.

The signature burgers, including the Big Mac, McDouble, cheeseburger, and hamburger will all be getting a revamp, according to a GMA report.

Lonely blokes who are struggling to find love are turning to artificial intelligence because it is 'easier'. one said 'why fight for a s****y relationship when you can just buy a quality one?'

JULY 17--A burrito thrown by a woman at a Florida restaurant missed its intended target, instead hitting a male victim in the face, according to police who arrested the alleged food tosser.

Investigators were called Wednesday evening to Rick’s Reef, a St. Pete Beach eatery, due to a “female subject yelling at customers.”

The woman in question was Sarah Anne Kochera, 46, who lives with her boyfriend at his condo just down Gulf Boulevard from Rick’s.

A witness told police that Kochera “was in a verbal dispute” with a man not identified in an arrest affidavit. At one point, Kochera “threw a burrito at this subject.”

But the airborne burrito did not strike the man with whom Kochera quarreled. Instead, the Mexican delicacy “hit the victim in the face.” The affidavit does not indicate whether the victim was injured by the burrito.

Oh look, a cat fight, Rrrrrrr.

It’s no secret that the relationship between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert has never been worse. The two U.S. representatives yelled at each other on and off the House floor. Greene recently called Boebert a “little bitch” to her face. And Boebert supported Greene’s removal from the Freedom Caucus.

But, lawmakers told The Daily Beast, the situation between the two is still even worse than most people think.

“A fistfight could break out at any moment,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) told The Daily Beast.

Burchett, who later clarified that he was serious, said he was enjoying the standoff as a “professional wrestling fan.”

“I am friends with both of them. It’s entertaining to think that a fistfight could break out at any movement. I kind of dig that,” he continued.

Burchett isn’t the only person who thinks the feud could turn even nastier.
