The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"That tells me that our government is not prioritizing the lives of disabled people and that it is easier to let disabled people go than it is to actually give them the assistance that they need," Rose Finlay quadriplegic woman in Bowmanville, Ont

Quote II

"And one of the things we need to do to make sure that there's more emphasis on practical education, not just support workforce programs, but at the universities, they should be responsible for defaulted student loan debt,” he continued. “If you produce somebody that can't pay it back, that's on you." Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL)

Quote III

"People are walking up to the boat, because it's ankle-deep water, and ordering food. You really get your sea legs working the grill."
Brian Keyes

No honor among scholars thieves, the Ivy League variety.

Harvard’s “leading scholar” on behavioral psychology has been caught fabricating “multiple studies,” including the findings in a famous major study on “honesty.”

“Reverberations” are going through the academic community after evidence emerged showing that Francesca Gino of Harvard Business School fabricated results in “multiple studies,” according to a report from the New York Times.

The report asserts that the field of behavioral science, an area of research often seen with much “skepticism” from other scientists, “may have sustained its most serious blow yet” over the revelations about Gino’s studies.

We need more Skyler Adletas and fewer Francesca Ginos.

Skyler Adleta, a Cincinnati electrician, has blasted the idea of free college, stating that it would only worsen America’s class divide.

In a recent Newsweek op-ed, Adleta shared his experience with both higher education and blue-collar work, stating that it was the latter, rather than the former, that pulled him out of poverty.

"If you had offered me a full ride to go to college at that time, it would have been about as useful as trying to heal a gunshot wound with Neosporin. I needed surgery, not a salve,” he said.

Adleta previously endured such extreme poverty that he was living in his car.

“Even without the cost of tuition, there was no way I would have been able to work full time, go to school full time, and claw my way out of the pit of poverty I was in.”

The Detroit Lions suck, the Detroit Redwings are pussies, the Detroit Tigers are snowflakes and the Detroit Pistons swallow. I'll probably be extradited to Michigan because of my hate speech. Fvck off you hosers.

New MI law can make hurting someone’s feelings punishable by up to 5 years in prison

During the COVID pandemic, Michigan’s authoritarian decrees were some of the harshest in the land and now, the state’s ruling Democrats are set to make free speech a crime subject to severe penalties including prison time for the grave offense of hurting someone’s feelings.

Last week, the Michigan House passed the new legislation by a 59-50 vote, giving prosecutors sweeping new powers to prosecute “hate speech” the always vaguely defined term that has been increasingly used to punish and otherwise censor dissent and legitimate political speech in Western society that has on a global level, become unmoored from traditional values and is drifting ever faster into outright totalitarianism.

God how I hate politicians especially those with a (D) behind their names. Yes, I'm hateful Misanthropic.

As the regulars know I am not a proponent of EVs. However, this thing might have a purpose. Definitely no boat towing.

Americans spend a lot of time in cars. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the average US driver was on the road for about an hour a day. Accordingly, we like roomy vehicles with wide, comfortable seats, plenty of special features, and high horsepower; these all come in handy when traveling across a sprawling city, or from a city center to a suburb, or between suburbs dozens of miles apart.

But in countries with more compact geography, cars can be more compact too—and the shorter distances traveled mean it’s easier to depend on batteries instead of gas. Last week, British car company Ark Motors launched its first model, the Zero. It’s the latest on a growing list of compact electric vehicles.

I wonder if Buck Throckmorton would allow me to park it in his driveway.

Hopefully this Cop makes it.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating after a Shelby County Sheriff's deputy shot and killed a driver whose vehicle dragged the deputy for over 100 yards following a traffic stop this morning. The deputy was seriously injured, as well, and is now in Regional One in critical condition.

The deputy had attempted to make a traffic stop shortly after 9 a.m. in the 4000 block of Rosswood Drive when the driver got back into his vehicle and attempted to leave the scene, trapping the deputy in the door of his car and dragging him approximately 100 yards, said Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner in a news conference Saturday.

Maybe he will take acting lessons. On the bright side he is a certifiable Genius Award Winner.

A man was caught faking a slip and fall inside a Kroger store, Georgia officials say.

Now, there’s a warrant for his arrest.

It occurred in May 2022 when the 40-year-old man, from Dalton, told Kroger workers he fell in a product that spilled while shopping at the store, Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King said on June 22.
