President Joe Biden claimed Sunday some Republicans are willing to allow the U.S. to default on its debt for the first time to prevent him from winning another presidential term.

If the economy does default, Biden argued he would be "blameless," and called for Republicans to move their positions.

"On the merits, based on what I've offered, I would be blameless," Biden responded to a question from Fox's Peter Doocy. "On the politics of it, no one would be blameless. And by the way, that's one of the -- one of the things that some are contemplating."

"I think there are some MAGA Republicans in the House who know the damage that it would do to the economy and because I am president -- and presidents are responsible for everything -- Biden would take the blame. And that's the one way to make sure Biden's not re-elected," Biden added.

The House has already passed a debt limit hike -- but with limits on spending.

So Biden is the one who's planning to destroy the US's credit rating. And he's doing so that he can continue spending us into a grave.

The GOP-led House may have reached a breakthrough in its standoff with the FBI over a file believed to contain bribery allegations concerning President Joe Biden.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) revealed on "Sunday Morning Futures" that he spoke with Director Christopher Wray about the FBI failing to comply with a subpoena for the document and pushed for compliance.

"I explained to the director that we will do everything in our power, and we have jurisdiction over the FBI, that we have the right to see this document," McCarthy said during an appearance on Fox News. "I believe after this call we will get this document."

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) issued a subpoena with a May 10 deadline seeking the document. GOP investigators say whistleblower disclosures indicate there is a form filled out by the FBI that describes an alleged influence peddling scheme involving Biden, dating back to his time as vice president, and a foreign national.

In its response on the day of the deadline, an FBI official declined to acknowledge the existence of the record while warning against the release of "unverified or incomplete" information that could "harm investigations, prejudice prosecutions or judicial proceedings, unfairly violate privacy or reputational interests, or create misimpressions in the public."

Remember: All of the FBI's dealings are secret from you, but all of your dealings are an open book to the FBI.
