New Jersey State Senate President Nicholas Scutari is a reprehensible asshole. And that's being kind.

In an interview with the New Jersey Globe, Senate President Nicholas Scutari said he still believes the post-Bruen carry restrictions imposed by lawmakers will survive court scrutiny, even though U.S. District Judge Renee Marie Bumb has slapped an injunction on many of the law’s requirements. But if the courts ultimately side against the state, Scutari says lawmakers will simply try again.

“We’re going to let the litigation process move forward,” Scutari said after a Senate voting session. “We took the steps we needed to take. I believe the bill is solid and constitutional, and we’re hoping that as it works through the litigation process, they’ll see it our way.”

Asked what steps the legislature might take if the law is ultimately deemed unconstitutional, Scutari said that would depend on the nature of the ruling itself.

“If it’s struck down, we’ll start over,” he said. “Which might involve looking at the ruling and seeing what other steps we can do that fit within that ruling while still safeguarding New Jerseyans from lots and lots of additional guns legally carried on the street.”

It's hard to take her seriously at times.

E. Jean Carroll Seeks $10 Million in Damages Against Trump Over Latest Comments

Writer E. Jean Carroll has sought to amend the first of her two defamation lawsuits against former President Donald Trump after he commented about her in a televised town hall event.

Carroll, 79, is now seeking $10 million in compensatory damages and is seeking to hold Trump liable for remarks he made after a grand jury found the former president liable in her second defamation lawsuit against him.

Carroll won $5 million on May 9 in her second defamation lawsuit—about $3 million for a defamation charge and about $2 million for a civil battery charge. The defamation charge was related to a statement Trump made on Truth Social in October 2022. In the latter charge, jurors determined that Trump, now 76, had sexually abused, but did not rape, Carroll.

In addition to the $10 million in compensatory damages, Carroll also seeks punitive damages in the first, now amended, lawsuit.

Drop that Rice-A-Roni or I'll.........Oh never mind.

Comedian Dave Chappelle visited San Francisco last week to perform. “What the f—k happened to this place?” he asked, declaring that the whole city has morphed into its infamous Tenderloin district. “Y’all … need a Batman!”

It’s no joke.

You. Yes you. You can become an author.

Writing is not a sexy business. It’s not a rare butterfly that floats down and gently kisses you on the nose with a brilliant idea that conjures a hurricane of cash. It’s frustrating, and it’s lonely, and for most people, it doesn’t pay.

But one genre consistently makes it work. Romance writers who are able to get published or sell their books through self-publishing are true hustlers. The women who succeed here are not just writers, they’re business people, and they spend hours keeping up with fans online and doing their own marketing, in addition to writing.

Being a stupid spoiled brat is no way to go through life.

The Kent State University (KSU) College Republicans (CRs) recently became the center of controversy and criticism due to an event they hosted in March screening the film "What is a Woman?"

In the documentary, Matt Walsh, conservative commentator at the Daily Wire, “fearlessly questions the logic behind a gender ideology movement that has taken aim at women and children,” according to the film website.

I forgot to mention, humorless.

A series of events aimed at uniting the staff at Uber have ended in chaos, with the company’s head of diversity, equity, and inclusion suspended on leave in the wake of the fallout.

Bo Young Lee has headed up Uber’s DEI department for the past five years but recently came under fire for moderating two events titled “Don’t Call Me Karen.”

The events were billed as “diving into the spectrum of the American white woman’s experience” and featured conversations with white women at the company who sought to have an “open and honest conversation about race.”

The invitation, seen by the New York Times, also focused on the “Karen” persona.

A Karen is a term coined online for an entitled white woman, who threatens to report BAME (Black, Asian, and minority ethnic) individuals to authorities or complains about staff to their managers—in short, unnecessarily inserting themselves into situations and causing conflict with their prejudices.

On this day: 23 May 2014
The parents of a camera assistant who was killed after being hit by a train while shooting footage for a biopic about Gregg Allman were suing the musician and the film's producers. The case claimed film-makers "selected an unreasonably dangerous site for the filming location" and failed to take actions to adequately protect the crew.

This young man is very fortunate. Many people never go to know their grandmothers. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

Grandson Accompanies His 93-year-old Grandma to Visit All 63 National Parks: ‘Greatest privilege of my life’

If you asked any American what they’d like to do after they retire—and you offered them the chance to go on a road trip to see all 63 national parks—most might consider that a great way to sail into the sunset.

Well more than just saying it, a 93-year-old grandmother has done it—all 63 parks in about 8 years time, becoming the oldest person ever to do so.

But, Joy Ryan didn’t do it herself. She had a handsome young man—her grandson Brad—for company, who described the adventure as “the greatest privilege.”
