Elon Musk Humiliates "Journalist" Who Has, Get This, a Leftwing Agenda and NPC Talking Points

Before getting to that: NPR rage-quit Twitter, as Clownfish TV put it.

Here's NPR's own story announcing their rage-quitting.

NPR [flounces out of ] Twitter after being falsely labeled as 'state-affiliated media'

NPR will no longer post fresh content to its 52 official Twitter feeds, becoming the first major news organization to go silent on the social media platform. In explaining its decision, NPR cited Twitter's decision to first label the network "state-affiliated media," the same term it uses for propaganda outlets in Russia, China and other autocratic countries.

The decision by Twitter last week took the public radio network off guard. When queried by NPR tech reporter Bobby Allyn, Twitter owner Elon Musk asked how NPR functioned. Musk allowed that he might have gotten it wrong.

Twitter then revised its label on NPR's account to "government-funded media." The news organization says that is inaccurate and misleading, given that NPR is a private, nonprofit company with editorial independence. It receives less than 1 percent of its $300 million annual budget from the federally funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

By going silent on Twitter, NPR's chief executive says the network is protecting its credibility and its ability to produce journalism without "a shadow of negativity."

PBS was also tagged "State Funded Media," and they have also quit.

"PBS stopped tweeting from our account when we learned of the change and we have no plans to resume at this time,"a spokesman for the outlet told The Hill. "We are continuing to monitor the ever-changing situation closely."

Oh, they'll be back. Proggy weirdoes can never quit Twitter. Or -- they can quit, they just can't stay quit.

They don't have real lives and only exist on social media that they control and curate.

On to the state-funded BBC:

Elon Musk sat down for an interview with James Clayton of the State Funded BBC. (Twitter has branded the BBC, correctly, as "State Funded." They probably should go back to just calling it "state media.")

Musk had rules, though: The interview would be live-streamed as it happened. This, you will see, took away Clayton's power to edit Musk's answers to give Musk the Reality TV Assh*le Edit and to give himself the Reality TV Hero Edit. We got to see exactly what was said and what happened, without the media cleaning it all up later to make themselves look like Competent Professionals.

It didn't go well for this credentialed "Journalist."

Clayton was so embarrassed by the interview that he's not commenting on the interview he himself did --he's just posting other people's prior articles about Musk and what a poopyhead he is.

He's just pretending that the humiliation he suffered didn't happen.

Oh wait, he did make one comment about the interview:

C James Clayton @JamesClayton5

What a crazy interview.

So many news lines I thought I'd do a [thread]

First up, The @nytimes on how the "emotional strain" of running Twitter has been "painful" Musk spoke of the "emotional strain" that came with buying Twitter.

"What a crazy interview." That's his single acknowledgement that the interview took place.

No mention that the "journalist" was "crazy unprepared" or "crazy agenda-driven" or "crazy about tired talking points."

@oldspeak1

How did it feel to lose the editing safety net and for the raw data to be published in real time?

Edward Baran @edward_baran

But you seem to be omitting the part about it being a huge car crash failure in which he humiliated you and the BBC. And the part where he called out the BBC's endless 'Covid' lies and misinformation and its failure to report vaccine injuries.

Danny Armstrong @DannyWArmstrong Where's the line about you being embarrassed by Musk over your distinct lack of fact collecting and basic interview preparation when asked to provide one example of the increase in 'hate speech' to the point you had to deflect from your own question?
