Prepare for Another Shock: The True Conservatives of NeverTrump Are Making Hard-Left Arguments In Favor of Abortion and Transitioning Children
Amanda Carpenter, a super-True-Conservative at The Bulkwark, wants to know what kind of intrusive laws conservatives are willing to impose on women to restrict their freedom to have abortions.
And also, what kind of thuggery conservatives are willing to embrace to stop... unnecessary and harmful experimental surgeries on children.
Eric Spencer
@JustEric
The state has been protecting kids from abuse for at least close to 50 years since the federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act was passed in 1976.
She's linking an article by fellow True Conservative of The Bulwark, the sexually ambiguous Jonathan V. Last.
Dave Reaboi of the Substack Late Republic Nonsense points out The Bulwark's newest leftwing cause, transgenderism without limits for children.

Ok, sounds great. Must be tough to be a groomer--or groomer-curious, a groomer-ally or whatever they're calling themselves at the Bulwark these days.
They're calling themselves "Reagan Conservatives," Dave. And you know how hard Reagan fought for unrestricted medical amputations for children to "change their genders." Why, it was almost Reagan's 11th Commandment!
If you squeamish Religious Fundamentalists have a problem with this, why, you're just the Church Lady, that's what you are!
(Topical reference, Jonny-Boy!)

JV Last comparing people who complain about kids at drag shows to the Church Lady. No, really.
So what's going on here?
Well, obviously: None of these people are even marginally employable outside the comfortable ecosystem of paid political propaganda.
When they decided to make war on the Republican Party and conservatives, obviously, they could not again work for any conservative outlet.
So they all took money from Pierre Omidyar and George Soros and begin writing leftwing propaganda. At first they pretended this leftwing propaganda was "from a conservative point of view," but over time, they have abandoned this pretense and now are just typical leftwing turncoat buckrakers, like their hero, David Brock.
With whom they obviously share quite a few donors, of course.
They started writing this way because it's what their new paymasters demanded. But it was also liberating for them, because they were always the most leftwing "conservatives" in existence; they were the "conservatives" who already branded themselves as The Conservative Always Eager to Call Out and #Cancel Other Conservatives.
And now that their paymasters demand they adopt wholesale the left's weird pagan deification of gays and transgenders, they find it a happy convergence between their always-existing social liberalism and the financial necessity of playing the tune that their paymasters are calling.
You'll note, of course, that this wasn't about Trump; they are calling Ron DeSantis a fascist as much as they ever called Trump that.
They just have always hated the actual conservatives in the Republican Party, and have always French-kissed the left's ass in hopes of being accepted by their Very Good Leftwing DC Cocktail Party Friends.
And now, they are finally freed from the obligation of having to even pretend to be anything other than left-liberals who cannot bear even the smell of genuine conservatives.
But they're heroes, you know. They abandoned a despised political minority to align themselves with the monied and media-controlling political hegemony and they're extremely brave for having done so. Just ask them!
* By the way, Dave also has a podcast, also named Late Republic Nonsense. The name refers to the period of degeneracy, lunacy, and unseriousness that attends every republic in its dying days. In its late period.
