Maybe being a bugman is what you make of it? Nah, that's contradictory.

Philosophically, I'm against it. Taxes should be for generating revenue for the state, but that ship sailed long, long ago. If the tax policy is going to be used to push social policy, than this is the direction it should be pushing it. I remember years ago reading about something similar. If I recall correctly, the government instituted a policy of lowering the interest rate on your home loan for every kid you had in order to encourage large families. I thought it a heck of an idea, until I got to the end of the article and discovered the government in question was the German one, and the law was from the 1930s. Stupid NAZIs. Come up with a good idea that nobody will be able to copy because....well, because it came from NAZIs. Try getting something with that pedigree passed anywhere in the world.

I'm old. I don't get the attraction of Twitch, or V-Tubing. Podcasts are OK, but I can only listen to them when I am driving. Now that I'm not driving nearly as much, I just can't get into sitting in a chair and just listening. I don't even watch that much on YouTube, I'd rather read about the subject. On the whole, I'd rather be reading a book. Doesn't matter. They exist, and they are popular. And this looks to be a good one, watch the clips at the link, they're not long. Very based.

House Where University of Idaho Students Were Killed to be Demolished

The house where four University of Idaho students were stabbed to death in November will be demolished, school officials said Friday.

The owner of the home in Moscow offered to give it to the university and the school accepted, University President Scott Green said in a memo to students and employees.

“This is a healing step and removes the physical structure where the crime that shook our community was committed,” Green wrote.

No timeline has set for the demolition, but university spokesperson Jodi Walker told the Idaho Statesman that the goal is to have the house knocked down by the end of the semester.

I just think this is dumb. I get that maybe the house has lost value as an asset, and may be difficult to rent. But this whole modern idea of “healing” by tearing down the house or not mentioning an event or avoiding certain subjects...guess I'm just old fashioned, but that's not healing in my book. It's avoiding. Sometimes healing leaves a scar. Learning how to survive a scar is part of being human.

80-Year-Old Janitor May Get To Retire Again, Thanks To Kindness Of Students

An 80 year old man came back to work as a janitor because he needed the money, and the students at the school started a go fund me so he could retire again.

Go fund me is in the bio! My classmates and I hate seeing Mr. James here, no one his age should have to be cleaning our messes up to continue to live.
