Merrick Garland Lies, Claiming There Is No Double Standard in the Treatment of His Political Enemy Trump and His Political Patron Biden

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday pushed back on criticism that the Justice Department is treating President Biden more favorably than former President Donald Trump as the government investigates their mishandling of classified documents.

"The department has a set of norms and practices," Garland said, answering media questions on the federal probe into the 80-year-old president for the first time.

"Norms and practices" is the DOJ's version of "sources and methods" -- a bullsh!t magical invocation intended to justify any lie or corrupt decision they make.

"These mean, among other things, that we do not have different rules for Democrats or Republicans, different rules for the powerful or powerless, different rules for the rich or poor."

Garland's comments came during a meeting of the DOJ's reproductive rights task force.

He answered questions about how he would respond to those who argue Biden has been treated better than 76-year-old Trump, and whether appointing a special counsel to investigate both cases was "good for the country."

"We apply the facts and the law in each case in a neutral and nonpartisan manner," Garland said. "That is what we always do, and that is what we do in the matters you are referring to."

Merrick Garland's orders regarding Trump's special counsel allow that prosecutor to investigate any matter and then use an all-but-unlimited budget to pursue investigations against him and bring any charges he likes.

The special counsel he authorized for Biden very strictly limits the prosecutor to only look into the matter of the hoarded classified documents. He's not allowed to look into Lunchbox Joe's China connection or any of his other crimes of influence-peddling and possible tax fraud. (In as much as Scranton Joe seemed to be sending Hunter out to collect revenues for himself which were never publicly or legally acknowledged as his monies.)

But you know, they have a "set of norms and practices" that keep them from treating a political enemy differently from a political ally in the way they just f*cking did right there five seconds ago.

As this old corrupt f*ck if he'd like to rewrite the grant of jurisdiction for Biden's special counsel so that it replicates that which he granted Trump's.

He'll say no.

He'll say "a set of norms and practices" prevent him from doing that. You'll just have to take his word for it.
