Weekend Hobby, Craft and Bodging Thread, New Year's Eve Edition
Greetings, gang. This past week, I started a bookcase using 3/4" square molding as the principal design element/component for the uprights as well as the crossmembers. Made a rookie mistake of routing out dadoes to that dimension and not doublechecking that they were all 11/16". I repaired it with a paint stirring stick to make the patch. Hope to make progress, sans mistakes, and post a few snaps next time around.
Time once again to head to the basement, shop, garage, spare room or wherever it is you can go to make a mess, lose yourself for a few hours and get creative.
Lastly, I want to say thanks to all of you who have taken this thread from just a one-off posting a little over a year or so ago and made it into a regular feature. And a big hats off to cob and friend Misanthropic Humanitarian for co-moderating so admirably.
Happy, healthy, prosperous -- and creative -- New Year, everybody!
