China is Melting Down with Covid, and Biden Refuses to Ban Travel From That Country

Pardon the alarmist tone of this post. There's a point to it, I promise.

China stopped publishing its propagandistic, fake covid numbers last week, presumably because there were so many covid cases that the falsity of the "official numbers" was an embarrassment for the regime there.

There are one million new cases a day in a single province.

China's Zhejiang, a big industrial province near Shanghai, is battling around a million new daily COVID-19 infections, a number expected to double in the days ahead, the provincial government said on Sunday.

Despite a record surge of cases nationwide, China reported no COVID deaths on the mainland for the five days through Saturday, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention said on Sunday.

Citizens and experts have called for more accurate data as infections surged after Beijing made sweeping changes to a zero-COVID policy that had put hundreds of millions of its citizens under relentless lockdowns and battered the world's second-largest economy.

Nationwide figures from China had become incomplete as the National Health Commission stopped reporting asymptomatic infections, making it harder to track cases. On Sunday the commission stopped reporting daily figures, which the China CDC then published.

One million new cases per day in a single province, but no deaths. Yeah, that sounds about right.

One report claims that China actually saw thirty-seven million new covid cases-- in a single day.

Nearly 37 million people in China may have been infected with COVID-19 on a single day this week, the Bloomberg news agency has reported, citing minutes from an internal meeting of the country's National Health Commission held on Wednesday.

In all, the report which was published on Friday said about 18 percent of the country's population -- 248 million people -- are likely to have contracted the virus in the first 20 days of December.

This is a country that followed Fauci's lockdown strategy, by the way. In fact, Fauci based his lockdown strategy on China's lockdowns.

We see now how having very little natural immunity in a population winds up working out.

Their hospitals are overflowing, and their crematoria are running 24 hours a day, and still can't burn all the newly dead bodies.

China's ongoing battle with a COVID surge has completely devastated the country's healthcare infrastructure, especially in the Hebei province.

Hospitals in Baoding and Langfang have been forced to turn away ambulances and ill patients seeking treatment, while health administrators have been required to treat patients in over-capacity intensive care units on benches or the floor, officials said.

A funeral shop worker estimated said they were burning 20 to 30 bodies a day, up from just three or four before the Chinese government dramatically loosened COVID-related restrictions on Dec. 7.

"There's been so many people dying," said Zhao Yongsheng, a funeral worker. "They work day and night, but they can't burn them all."

Funeral homes in China's capital were also packed, requiring some people to travel hours away to find someone available to cremate their deceased.

"They said we'd have to wait for 10 days," a resident identified simply by the surname Liang said.

The more a virus travels the more likely it is to mutate, and there's always the chance it can mutate into a more virulent form. Usually it mutates into a less dangerous form, but that's not a rule.

Could the COVID-19 surge in China unleash a new coronavirus mutant on the world?

Scientists don't know but worry that might happen. It could be similar to omicron variants circulating there now. It could be a combination of strains. Or something entirely different, they say.

"China has a population that is very large and there's limited immunity. And that seems to be the setting in which we may see an explosion of a new variant," said Dr. Stuart Campbell Ray, an infectious disease expert at Johns Hopkins University.

I know the last thing you guys want is covid alarmism, but while this has been going on, Joe Biden has been allowing people to travel to the US from China, almost as if he actively wants to set off another pandemic in the United States.

Instead of quarantining travel from China, the State Department has issued a requirement that travelers from China merely show a negative covid test before traveling to the US. Even though they can easily be infected between that test and boarding that plane.

And even that requirement is not effective immediately -- it will only take effect next week, January 5th.

Effective January 5 at 12:01 Eastern Time, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will require a negative COVID-19 test result, taken within two days of departure, or proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days, for all travelers, age two years and older, to the United States on flights originating from the People's Republic of China (PRC), including the Special Administrative Regions (SAR) of Hong Kong and Macau.

Like I said, it looks very much like the Biden Administration felt a measure of control and dominance when the nation was locked down, and is desperate to lock the country down again.

Meanwhile, of course, they're letting tens of thousands of untested illegal aliens pour across the border every single day, and then seeding them around the country to infect the local population.

Covid is a net-political-winner for the Party of Unlimited Government, and so they're importing covid.

You won't be allowed out of your house again, but damnit, there's no way Joe Biden would ever give the order that non-US citizens should be barred from entering the US for a few months. That would be Against Our Values.
