Jack Smith, the man just named Special Prosecutor, will decide whether to indict Trump for the stolen Mar-a-Lago documents and the Jan. 6 insurrection. Smith was a war-crimes prosecutor at the International Criminal Court at The Hague.

AG Garland says that because former Pres. Trump has announced that he’s running for president + the current president has indicated he will most likely run again, "it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel" to investigate Mr. Trump.

The irony here... is that Garland is mucking with the actual peaceful transfer of power to a future elected Trump. Via an investigation into the supposed not peaceful transfer of power from Trump. Posted by: TexasDan
