THE MORNING RANT: Red States Can’t Vote Any Harder to Save Blue States

The “what happened to the red wave” finger pointing is getting kind of tiresome. Blue state voters voted blue and purple state voters voted purple. Shocker.

Well, those of us living a life of freedom in red states cannot vote any harder to liberate Americans living in blue states from the tyranny they keep voting upon themselves.

In free America, we voted red…intensely red. We voted for a regional red wave that just about flushed out any remaining Democrat power. Let’s look at a few results:

FLORIDA:
• Governor: DeSantis (R) 59% / Democrat 40%
• Senate: Rubio (R) 58% / Democrat 41%
• House: 20 of 28 Congressional seats won by Republicans

TENNESSEE:
• Governor: Lee (R) 65% / Democrat 33%
• House: 7 of 8 Congressional seats won by Republicans

MISSOURI
• Senate: Schmitt (R) 55% / Democrat 42%
• House: 6 of 8 Congressional seats won by Republicans

SOUTH CAROLINA
• Governor: McMaster (R) 58% / Democrat 41%
• Senate: Scott (R) 63% / Democrat 37 %
• House: 6 of 7 Congressional seats won by Republicans

OKLAHOMA
• Senate: Lankford (R) 64% / Democrat 32%
• Senate: Mullins (R) 62% / Democrat 35%
• Governor*: Stitt (R) 55% / Democrat 42%
• House: 5 of 5 Congressional seats won by Republicans

(*You may remember that that the political press, including faux-conservatives who don’t really hide that they are cheering for Democrats, were giddy about the prospect of Governor Stitt being defeated in Oklahoma. Despite being slandered as “damaged goods” he won by 13% over an opportunistic Republican-turned-Democrat.)

TEXAS
• Governor: Abbott (R) 55% / Democrat 44%
• House: 25 of 38 Congressional seats won by Republicans

While discussing Texas, it’s worth noting that Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) won his re-election 53% to the Democrat’s 44%. For years, Paxton has been under constant lawfare attack from Democrat partisans with the power to indict. They indicted him for a bogus crime in much the same manner that Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Tom Delay, and others before him were indicted for the crime of being Republican.

Texas journalists are incapable of referring to Paxton without stating that he “is under criminal indictment” or “under FBI investigation.” In addition, the GOP establishment went after Paxton by running Jeb Bush’s son against him in the primary. Despite all of this, Paxton won in a rout in both the primary and general election.

Something else of major importance happened at the ballot box in Texas. During primary season, two establishment Republicans on the State Board of Education were beaten by populist Republicans promising to rid Texas schools of critical race theory. Those two populist Republicans then won in the general election, along with another seat flipped from the Democrats, giving the Republicans a solid 10 to 5 majority on the board.

Texas Republicans against 'critical race theory' win seats on the State Board of Education, strengthening its GOP majority

It is likely that red state voting keeps getting redder due to all the Republican refugees moving from blue and purple states. Unfortunately, that makes it more difficult for those left behind in blue states. Perhaps some of those states might have voted red this past election had so many of their fellow citizens not already fled to live in freedom.

Up and down the ballot, Democrats were wiped out in red states. Many thanks to the conservative voters who have flocked to our states to make us redder. Welcome to freedom, and thank you for contributing to our red wave.

Songs of the Season

Around these parts the trees are bare and the sun has gone to hiding behind gray clouds. There’s a melancholy in the air, so here’s Celtic Woman capturing that melancholy with the classic Irish song, Danny Boy.

O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountainside
The summer's gone and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or all the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
O Danny boy, O Danny boy, I love you so

Have a great week.
