The second tweet contains two videos of absolutely disgraceful police brutality and ego-driven fascism.
At least in the second video, where a cop begins randomly firing his gun into a car because a teenager was eating fast food inside the car -- the teenager justifiably fled for his life, and then the police charged him for evading arrest -- the cop was fired and the charges were dropped.
Not sure about these other cases.
These are some really bad apples. I hope they are all now fired.
The teenager is unconscious and remains on life support.
The police aren't sending their best.
This might be a factor of BLM making the job so unappealing that departments are forced to hire unappealing candidates.
Semi-Related:
A stalker ex-boyfriend follows his ex-girlfriend and her mom in a car and parks in their driveway behind their car. He had called the girl a night or two before this, out of the blue, stating that he wanted to talk to her. She had not returned his call.
He follows them to the door, and attempts to get into house. He keeps ringing the door bell, despite being told the girl does not want to talk to him.
Then he attempts breaking in, despite being told the father has a gun.
As he's shouldering in the door, the father gives him one last warning. He doesn't speak throughout this; he's like Michael Myers. Implacable, silent, full of rage and dark purpose.
He has a dead-eyed look in his eyes throughout this. He's plainly a malfunctioning humanoid robot at this point, incapable of rational thought or self-governance and capable of great violence.
It occurs to me how senseless it is to shame people for using deadly force against people like this, saying, "But he didn't know what he was doing! He was just out of his mind for a little bit!"
As in, you shouldn't have shot him -- he wasn't in control of himself. He would have gotten better!
Yes, he wasn't in control of himself. An adult man -- this guy was 22-- incapable of self-governance and acting on animal passion and rage and sexual vengeance is capable of incredible levels of destruction.
As for "getting better" -- At some point he would have calmed down. When? After he'd "gone nova" and killed the whole family because Janey Johnson wasn't sweet on him any more?
911 was called but of course did not get there in time. I don't even mean that as a slight to cops; things happened pretty quickly.
But... Cops are definitely "Plan B," at best. When they're not actively hostile to the citizenry.
