Virginia School Walkout Against Parental Rights Law Wasn't Quite What the Media Reported It To Be

I know you're all shocked.

Remember the much-publicized "school walkout" in Virginia? In which Virginia students supposedly walked out of school en masse? (En masse is French for "in Kevin Williamson," for those who only went to a mid college.)

All, supposedly, to protest Glenn Youngkin's new directive that schools are not to "transition" students, nor use their supposed "preferred pronouns," except with parental permission? And they're not to hide gender-transition efforts from parents any longer?

Luke Rosiak reports that most of the students "participating" in the walkout were not participating in it. They just walked out because they saw other students walking out and they knew they could cut school under the guise of a #Woke pretext their leftwing teachers approved of.

The activists organizing the event spoke about this on a Zoom call afterwards, complaining that very few of the "participants" even understood what the walkout was about, and were just cutting class.

But in a debrief after the walkouts, one student asked, "I want to know if anyone else had this problem. Yesterday at the school walkout we had about 200 kids participating. Most of the students were just there to skip class. Most of the fliers I handed out got handed right back to me because most of the people weren't there for the cause of the walkout, they just wanted to skip class."

Another activist replied, "I definitely had a lot of those people at my school... they are bolstering our numbers. We can count them as people who walked out for the Pride Liberation Project... They're still helping and they don't even realize it."

The media, of course, reported them all as supporting the cause and will not be correcting those reports.

More seriously, the event's ringleader shared talking points with his minions -- lies they could tell the media about how many gay and trans kids they knew who were about to kill themselves if the schools weren't allowed to use their preferred pronouns (and hide them from their parents).

In an internal message board, Rawal shared a "talking points" document that told people what to say, including repeatedly invoking suicide.

If someone asked if walkouts jeopardized learning, he told them to say, "How can my friends possibly learn about photosynthesis in biology class when they're worried about whether they'll be able to come home to a safe place that night."

The talking points memo said to tell reporters that "I've had to talk friends out of suicide at 2 AM in the morning, and I've not met a single Queer student who isn't depressed."

The document continued, "Remember to focus on our narrative... Using a student's true pronouns and name has consistently been shown to prevent suicide."

"We have access to messaging research, or we have access to people who have access to messaging research, and that messaging research really guides what we say in the media," Rawal said.

In other words: We have focus-grouped which lies manipulate people and telling them kids are committing suicide is a real motivator so tell that lie.

This also via Matt Walsh. He points out that this is not like the usual Talking Points Memo that gives partisans factoids to repeat to the media, but false personal anecdotes to lie about, like claiming to have had to talk a trans friend down from suicide at 2 a.m. in the morning.

He also notes that the media might become suspicious about all these little idiots repeating the same exact "personal anecdotes"... but then dismisses that possibility. The media is 1, never suspicious about the left, and 2, even when they know the left is lying, eager to cover up for them and carry the propaganda as the left designed it.

Luke Rosniak now scoops that the group behind this fake Youth Protest has Democrat ties and has greater ambitions than a walkout -- they're encouraging gay kids to leave their mean parents and come shack up with some of their kind-hearted and very sensual "guardians."

A Virginia pro-trans group with Democratic ties says it will help gender-confused students leave their families and "rehome" them with new "queer friendly" guardians instead, according to internal materials obtained by The Daily Wire.

...

"In the event of you needing to leave your home, we can provide you with emergency housing from a supportive, Queer friendly adult," he continued, cautioning: "Please note that this adult will likely be white."

Oh what a shock. And also, what a shock that there has to be a #TriggerWarning that this guardian will be white.

Maybe there should be another #TriggerWarning: "Living in the home of a 'friendly' adult stranger may sometimes result in unwanted or reluctant diddlage."

...

The group, which raises money using the Democrat platform ActBlue, said it can also provide significant money to youth who want to leave their parents. "We can pay for Ubers, Lyfts, and other passes if you need to leave immediately. Some students or adults may also be able to come get you individually," Rawal wrote.

How convenient.

David Gordon, the head of the Virginia Project, a conservative group that has tracked ideology in schools, said helping confused children leave their families is dangerous.

"It is irresponsible and reckless to the extreme to be doing this with other people's kids," Gordon said. "The way this operation works is nearly identical to sex trafficking.

"This could never be underwritten by any insurer. The chance of one of these kids ending up being sexually abused is almost certain," he told The Daily Wire.

David French could not be reached for comment.

Man, I'd love to wind up bunking with a "queer-friendly" adult like that guy there.

Hey remember when they tried to prosecute Matt Gaetz for supposedly paying for the hotel room for an 18 year old woman?

What do you think Biden's DOJ will do here?
