The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

“I was allowed to work in this city but I wasn’t allowed to eat in a restaurant in this city. I was allowed to work through a pandemic but I wasn’t allowed to eat in a restaurant. I could wear the uniform, go in a burning building but not eat here! What’s wrong with you people [who say] ‘trust the science!?’ You guys are fucked up!” Unnamed FDNY Captain speaking to the NYC Council

Quote II

“Plain and simple, this was a cheating scandal. Greed and cheating." Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent in Charge Mark Brutnell

Quote III

“At this time, it appears that only two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen. Cash, electronics and other valuables were not,” Rep. Karen Bass, a Los Angeles mayoral candidate

This just does not pass the smell test.

Awww shucks, she's disappointed. LOLGF'd

Dem politicians are furious with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey for sending migrants north to give relief to their overwhelmed states.

If Lori Lightfoot loses her mind over a few hundred migrants and DC Mayor Murial Bowser declares a public emergency over a few thousand migrants, Texas and Arizona must be overwhelmed.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said: “We’re putting in place a framework that would allow us to have a coordinated response with our partners. This will include a program to meet all buses, and given that most people will move on, our primary focus is to make sure we have a humane, efficient, welcome process that will allow people to move on to their final destination.

Perhaps the Libturds should take a closer look at the southern border.

This has never been truer than when Joe Biden ascended to the presidency, and the data proves it.

The number of migrant encounters at the southern border has smashed through the two million mark this fiscal year, breaching the already-historic 1.7 million encounters last year — but those numbers by themselves do not state how have been released into the U.S., or account for hundreds of thousands of others who have slipped past Border Patrol.

There have been more than two million migrant encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border in FY2022, as Border Patrol agents deal with a migrant crisis unprecedented in U.S. history and one that the Biden administration has so far failed to slow, despite its claims that the border is “secure.”

A soft life.

Millennials want to live a ‘soft life,’ and it’s changing how they work

There are some people who live to work. They relish being a hustler, grinding it out. They chortle at your 9-to-5 regimen, and they can’t understand why anyone would be attracted to “quiet quitting.”

Then there are those who work only to live the life Instagram fabricates. They collect their paycheck and take it to Lisbon or Paris or Madrid where they flood social media with images of all the experiences their hard-earned cash bought them.

But Dar LaBeach is part of a new ilk, and they’re out here just living to live.

Life has changed a lot in the last two years, and many people are embracing a so-called “soft life”—a rejection of the struggle, stress, and anxiety that comes with working a traditional 9-to-5 career and spinning away your days on life’s hamster wheel. Instead, living the soft life is about throwing yourself into joy, and prioritizing the richness of experiences

Is David beating Goliath? At the moment it appears to be happening.

RUSSIAN troops are abandoning huge quantities of weapons as they flee a lightning Ukrainian offensive that’s left them on the brink of collapse.

Images show Vladimir Putin’s forces have run away leaving tanks and other kit behind in the face of the onslaught leading some attackers to believe they’re seeing the “beginning of the end” of the war.

Once again a dropped phone makes one a Genius Award Winner and a Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day all wrapped into one.

A woman survived going over the falls at the Cumberland Falls State Park.

According to Whitley County Emergency Management, 911 got the call about the situation around 3:15 Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses told officials a woman had fallen into the river and went over the falls, landing downstream.

When rescue crews got there, officials say the 36-year-old woman was swimming to a large rock downstream of the falls. She was able to swim to rescuers. EMA officials say she was checked out by medical crews at the scene and wasn’t taken to the hospital.
