Not-Thin Lizzy is now claiming that if you have a legal theory that she disagrees with, that's a prosecutable crime.

She's arguing here with Mark Levin, who takes the obviously-fascist view that just because he disagrees with Trump's/Eastman's theory on holding up the counting of electors, that does not make their (in his mind) erroneous reading of the law criminal.

And Levin was responding to a hit by Media Matters -- which Not-Thin Lizzy piggybacks on -- claiming he was "passionately" defending a theory he himself rejects.

Mark R. Levin @marklevinshow

Uh, I said it wasn't criminal, assh*les; I didn’t passionately defend it. I don't know how much Soros is paying you dolts but your association with him has ruined you clowns forever.

Not-Thin Lizzy says it does make it illegal, because she's an anti-authoritarian defending our nation's Normzzz.

Rep. Liz Cheney @RepLizCheney . @MarkLevinshow : The Eastman memos & fake elector scheme are indefensible. On the memos: Eastman took the opposite legal position a month before the election; he knew all 9 Justices would rule against him; & he admitted it was illegal in an Oval Office meeting & afterwards. (1/3)

White House lawyers said it was illegal too. The fake electoral slates were obviously false, and were transmitted to multiple federal officials for purposes of obstructing the electoral count. None of this is ambiguous. (2/3)

Watch the hearings, and read the opinion of the federal judge who concluded that Eastman and Trump likely violated two criminal statutes. (3/3)

I wonder how much Soros is paying her.

Oh, here's a great idea -- the CDC is finally requiring states to report monkeypox cases within 24 hours.

They waited until San Francisco had finished its Kink Festival super-spreader event to impose the reporting requirement, of course.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is designating monkeypox -- an infectious viral disease that's been showing up around the world recently -- as a nationally notifiable condition on Monday.

The designation means that states are now required to report all confirmed and suspected monkeypox cases to the agency within 24 hours of discovery. States must also share surveillance data such as case numbers.

"Making the condition nationally notifiable positions public health to continue to monitor and respond to monkeypox after the current outbreak recedes," CDC spokesperson Kristen Nordlund said last week according to Politico.

Because our health officials decided that in this case, protecting the a leftwing constituency against "stigma" was more important than protecting the public health, the genie is now out of the bottle and the virus is now uncontainable, writes Scott Gottlieb in the NYT.

Well, they wrote that last part. I added in the first part. Which is all true.

When about 100 cases of monkeypox had been confirmed or suspected in Europe in May, it was clear the virus was spreading outside the areas where it was previously seen. Some on social media suggested it might already be spreading rapidly in communities in Europe and the United States.

Which communities, Scott?

Code of silence, huh?

These reports should have been a code red for federal infectious disease response.

But it wasn't until late June that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expanded testing for monkeypox to large commercial labs like Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp for more capacity and access. The C.D.C. had gone through its standard playbook, ticking through its protracted checklist.

Compared with the agency's botched rollout of a test for the coronavirus, the monkeypox test came at warp speed. But the virus spread even faster. If American leaders wanted to quash the outbreak, the United States should have been testing all people who presented with what was presumed to be atypical cases of diseases like genital herpes and zoster infection; both can cause rashes that sometimes resemble monkeypox. That might have required 15,000 tests a week, by my rough estimate. From mid-May to the end of June, the United States tested only about 2,000 samples.

They could have also issued genuine health advisories instead of lies like "monkeypox can affect everyone" and "put a band-aid on your sores."

Well, the CDC didn't issue that one -- but they knew that gay-oriented health organizations were issuing that snake-oil "Party On, M'Dudes" advice, and said nothing.

Wouldn't want to stigmatize the behaviors spreading the virus. Not when those behaviors are being enjoyed by non-normies.

Wait till this starts infecting kids. Then the CDC will be very strict and very direct with its demands about locking down children.

What about contact tracing? Need to know who to quarantine. Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh

Silly! You can't do that with people the left likes! It's against the Constitution or something all of a sudden!

Dave in Fla posts his read of pollsters he gives the most credence to:

Today is a test for some of the pollsters I pay attention to. There are some I trust and I lot I disregard because I know they are biased (Quinnipiac, I'm looking at you). I'll post this comment a couple times today, so going on the record.

If the pollsters I trust are correct, then we will get the following results today:

Arizona - Both Lake and Masters will win by double digits.

Missouri - Schmidt will survive the dick stepping that his pollster did thanks to Trump letting people know he will support either Schmidt or Greiten. Schmidt will win by low single digits

Michigan - Dixon will win by over 15. In MI-03 Gibbs will beat Meijer by over 10.

Washington - In WA-03, Kent will advance to November in the jungle primary, Butler is about 50/50 to advance and try to hold her seat. There have been shenanigans here with lies about Trump's endorsement, which will have an unknown effect.

Kansas - The abortion amendment will pass by about 5 points.

At Twitchy, someone has written a Clickbait Novelty Single for The Hill: Alexandria Donkey-Chompers is the Democrats' best counter-candidate if Trump wins the Republican nomination.

AOC wields a superpower that is rarely found in Washington: She isn't afraid to lose. Her 2018 victory wasn't just historic, it was shocking, and felt predestined -- much like when we first saw a brilliant speaker with a funny name and big ears remind us that through hope and change we could put our country on a new course.

AOC has the ability to tell the story of her generation. She's Barack Obama if Barack Obama was an actual progressive. I love Obama, but he was a moderate who sounded like a progressive.

...

There is no denying that AOC would boost GOP turnout as a result of coverage on right wing networks built to scare elderly white voters. But she would electrify the party's base, turn out the youth at record levels and bring the party together by acknowledging the threat posed by electing Trump Republicans.

Also at Twitchy, the left -- Bless Their Stupid Hearts -- are trying to make Brandon "cool" by turning him into "Dark Brandon."

Jericho @JerichoXV

Trying to turn a drooling 79 year old dementia patient into a bizarre super hero named dark Brandon, because the CIA killed an Al Qaeda leader for the 3rd time, is lame, & bizarre. He's the same putz who didn't want to take out Bin Laden when he was VP this came from above him.

I just saw a lavish Broadway musical about the all-male West Village Dance Troupe that invented the reacharound with bonus under-cupping ball-kneading -- the show was called Eclaire!: The Story of the Eclaire-and-Beignet Reacharound Technique -- and it was less gay than "Dark Brandon."

But keep trying, "guys." Keep pumping out those Sick Memes.

I mentioned in an earlier thread that David Zaslav, CEO of heavily-indebted Warner Discovery, is cutting the fat -- the Purplehaired Fat, as Ethan Van Sciver would say.

Well, he just killed the dubious SJW project, the Batgirl movie.

You might say, wait, what's wrong with a Batgirl movie?

Well nothing -- except that the plan was that there would be no more Batman and Superman in the DC movie Universe. The "Trinity" -- usually Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman -- would now be Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman.

Killing the Batgirl movie indicates that David Zaslav was finally apprised of this plan and responded, appropriately, "T'fuck did you just say, Stupid?"

"Batgirl," the feature film adaptation of the DC Comics character, has been killed at Warner Bros., Variety has confirmed. It will not premiere on any platform at the studio -- neither theatrically nor on HBO Max.

The $90 million production -- starring Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl) and directed by "Bad Boys for Life" and "Ms. Marvel" filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah -- was greenlit in 2021 as part of a company-wide effort at Warner Bros. to create feature films specifically for HBO Max. But the new corporate regime at Warner Bros. Discovery has pivoted the company's priorities back to theatrical features, leaving "Batgirl" without a proper home.

Again, nothing wrong with a Batgirl movie -- but it was insane to suggest making a Batgirl the primary "Bat" character of the DC movie universe. (Michael Keaton was slotted to return as an older, retired Batman, serving as a mentor to Batgirl. But he wouldn't actually be the hero, just the Mr. Miyagi.)

DC Comics, which has been making every character it can gay -- including Batman! and whose marketshare has it slipping out of credible consideration even as the runner-up in the Big Two -- might be in for a f***ing tsunami of tsackings.
