Trump Wishes Biden a Speedy Recovery (Really)
Update: That Time Brian Stelter "Reported" On Trump's Covid Bout, and Failed to Challenge a Guest Who Likened It to the "Death Watch" of Stalin's Last Days

Amusingly, though:

trumpbidencovid.jpg

Meanwhile, you might notice a slight difference in the way the media reported Trump's bout with covid and Peter Pedo's.

The media's coverage of Biden's covid is factual, though laden with empathy. The LATimes, for example, speaks of "concern."

They didn't quite report Trump's covid that way.

Update: Here's how Brian Stelter "reported" Trump's covid diagnosis. It was not empathetic!

With CNN's glee at seeing President Trump hospitalized with COVID-19 and other media outlets whining about him getting the "best medical care possible," it's hard on to imagine which outcome they would relish. Adding to that notion on Sunday, the media panel for CNN's so-called "Reliable Sources" almost said the quiet part out loud when New Yorker staff writer Masha Gessen likened the mixed messages to Trump's health to the misinformation put out during the "death watch" of Soviet monster Joseph Stalin.

Well I guess we're kind of on a "death watch" with Biden now, Tater. Wouldn't you say?

Hey NPR and The Atlantic, I hear Joe Biden is staying at the White House even though he has COVID. Any updates on how much he is putting the White House staff at risk?

Miranda Divine: Given Paul Pelosi obviously buying stock in American chip manufacturers based on insider information that Nancy Pelosi was pushing through a huge $52 billion subsidy package for
American chip manufacturers,
it's time to outlaw congresspeople trading individual stocks.

Trading of individual stocks in Congress might not be illegal but it has to stop.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and husband Paul are bad enough but it's not just them.

Everyone is outraged by Paul Pelosi's purchase in June of between $1 million and $5 million of stock in Nvidia, a semiconductor company, which is bound to benefit from legislation before Congress this week which will give $52 billion in subsidies to the computer chip industry.

It's just the latest in a string of prescient purchases for the Pelosis, revealed by financial disclosures required to be submitted periodically.

For instance, Paul Pelosi exercised options to purchase 25,000 Microsoft shares worth more than $5 million on March 19 last year, less than two weeks before the Army announced a $22 billion contract to buy augmented reality headsets from Microsoft which boosted the value of the shares.

But flying under the radar are lots of other members of Congress benefiting from the same uncanny luck, in a bipartisan grift that taints everything in Washington.

...

Frank Pallotta, Gottheimer's Republican challenger in Northern New Jersey's 5th district, has spent almost three decades on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley and is disgusted by the lax rules in Congress around insider trading.

"It boggles the mind that Congress, that has access to far more sensitive information at a higher level than Wall Street, isn't subject to the same rules.

"It's a license to steal."

And, I'd add, their family members should be disbarred from trading in stocks too.

Now, you may say: How do you bar a family member from trading in stocks? They're not the ones taking the job as congressman; they're not signing papers agreeing to give up the right to trade stocks.

Well, no, but you can make them all "covered persons" and make the congressman they're related to pay money to the US government in the amount family members profit from trades in individual stocks which any panel finds may have been affected by US government changes within a year.

Okay, Nancy, your husband just made $30 million in that trade? Here's your bill for $30 million dollars. Pay at the drive through, please come again.

I don't care if it bankrupts these bastards.

Nancy Pelosi gives a quick denial and then even more quickly exits the stage when asked if her husband has ever made a stock purchase or sale based on information received from her.

By the way, I don't want to hear any scolding from the Nation's Schoolmarm Fake Jake Tapper about conservatives making jokes about Biden's covid and possible poor prognosis.

Two weeks ago, Chuck Todd and his panelists openly wished for Trump to die so that he could not run for president, and no one in the leftwing corporate propaganda media made any negative mention of this at all.

No scolding from The National Hall-Monitor.

So shut the fuck up Fake Jake.

When the left -- and I include the culturally, socially, geographically left NeverTrump as part of the left -- say they want to "restore the country's norms," they mean specifically that they want to re-impose speech codes and behavior rules on their enemies on the right while they themselves feel free to challenge election results, claim that elections were "rigged," defend and even call for political violence, and of course wish death upon their political opponents.

The "norm" they're actually trying to restore is the norm in which the peasants know their place and defer to the nobles, in which the commoners accept that they are bound by social codes that the nobility is free from, because nobility hath its privileges.

Fuck you.

When you finally criticize any of your Guild Members for wishing death on their political enemies, then, and only then, Fake Jake, do you have the beginnings of the right to comment on anyone cracking wise about Joe Biden getting covid.
