Democrat Representative Paid a Texas Blogger To Launch Attacks on Mayra Flores; He Began Tagging Her With the Anti-Mexican Insult "Miss Frijoles"

They love their minorities, as long as they stay on the plantations and haciendas.

A Texas blogger paid by Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez's campaign is attacking Republican opponent Rep. Mayra Flores as "Miss Frijoles" and a "cotton-pickin' liar," prompting a wave of denunciations by fellow Democrats.

The language first surfaced three days after Gonzalez's campaign wrote a $1,200 check to The McHale Report blog June 24 for "advertising services," according to the Democrat's Federal Election Commission finance report.

But the blog, which has called Flores "Miss Frijoles" 21 times since then, has not published any Gonzalez ads.

"Of course, the congressman is against referring to Rep. Flores as 'Miss Frijoles' or a 'cotton-picking liar'," Gonzalez's campaign manager, Collin Steele, wrote in a text message to NBC News, echoing the state Democratic Party chair and other Texas Democrats who denounced the language as well.

But McHale would not back down.

"I am a liberal Democrat. And it's war against the Republican ... I'm going to be merciless with her," he told NBC News.

If you go to political "war" with someone, then all tactics, including a bit of racial taunting, are fair game?

And in fact Democrat Congressmen are allowed to even do business with you while you're engaged in this racial "war"?

Another Democrat consultant seemed to defend McHale's "war" footing:

"Politics in South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley is blood sport. It's very personal. And they play to win," said Colin Strother, a veteran Texas Democratic consultant.

Still, he said, the language in McHale's blog and Gonzalez's decision to advertise with him were surprising -- Gonzalez last year paid McHale $1,000 for advertising, and the blog is full of posts with racist, crude and bigoted language, like the use of the N-word and derogatory references to women's private parts, including Flores' body.

They attack Republicans as "racist" all day long but the minute a member of one of the races they "own" decides they're free of Democrat ownership, the racial slurs come out.

And notice that advertising with a blog that uses the n-word and makes derogatory references to a woman's most intimate of snizzes is considered an unusual, but still acceptable, move for a Democrat politician.

Corporations won't even advertise on this blog, and we don't do any of those things.

But Democrat politicians feel comfortable advertising on Democrat blogs that traffic in that crap.

Must be nice.

Must. Be. Nice.

Dave Reaboi and I have often discussed the problem of people on the right accepting, adopting, reinforcing and strengthening the mores and codes of the left by endlessly repeating them.

Sometimes we do so in the form of saying "What if a Republican said this..."

Sometimes we just adopt their language and follow their code. We become enforcers on their code, "telling on" members of the left for not following their own code, thinking that this will change the behavior of the left at all.

It doesn't.

All it does is create buy-in on the right into enforcement of the code.

Sometimes it's useful to point out their hypocrisy.

Often, however, what we end up doing is simply making the leftwing matrix of taboos and outlawed speech the generally-accepted code of conduct, because we ourselves have de facto blessed it through endless repetition.

One of the ways the left has hacked the brain of the collective right is that they realized we are naturally rules-based and they figured out that if they give us a series of rules to enforce, we will enforce them.

Even if they're hateful, bizarre, alien rules the left made up to harm us.

Dave calls "bullsh*t" on this NRCC communication director's attack on the Democrats for hiring this racist blogger, for the reasons outlined above:

This is who @RepGonzalez⁩ is...

Since @MayraFlores2022's historic victory Gonzalez has:

- made sexist comments against her

- launched xenophobic attacks regarding her immigration status

- paid a blogger to launch racist hits on Mayra

David Reaboi, Late Republic Nonsense @davereaboi

Doubtless this guy is a piece of shit--but you guys at the NRCC don't understand that you're always ratifying the Left's tactic of politics-by-accusations of hate. You've so internalized the Left's vocabulary, you can't break free of it. Pathetic.

I completely 100% agree with Dave on the general point that the right, by so frequently engaging in a game of Me Too! as far as SJW attacks, become the Junior Partner in encoding SJW forbiddances into actual social law.

But I'm pretty sure I disagree with him in this particular case, at least as far as the racial angle. (I have no idea what the "sexism" charges are.) Constantly tagging a Mexican woman as "Miss Frijole" certainly seems to be an attempt to diminish someone according to their race. It's not talking about her race as incidental; it's putting race right in front as the reason for the disparagement. The reader is supposed to think she's a figure of fun because maybe she has eaten frijoles before, and ha-ha, Mexican peasant food sure is funny, isn't it?

And while I also agree with Dave that we must get past the endless pointing out of Democrat and media hypocrisy -- yes, they know they are rank, disgusting hypocrites, and they don't care, they don't think it's a matter of hypocrisy, they think it's a matter of hierarchy, and they outrank you and aristocrats are naturally immune to many laws that bind the peasantry -- my God, the hypocrisy here on racism is so startling and incandescent you have to say something, don't you?

Even if you're not criticizing it -- even if you're complimenting it. Even if you're just so in awe of the staggering, ballsy swagger of the hypocrisy on display you just want to tip your fedora and say, "Well-played, you magnificent bastard."

But yes I agree with Dave Reaboi's general point. We have to get past the constant repeating of and enforcement of the left's cult doctrines as if they are our own cult doctrines, and as if we are unofficial freelance prelates of the left's unholy church.

GOP in 2040: The dems are the real transphobes! (per stone toss) Posted by: BourbonChicken

As A.H. Lloyd says, it's crucial to "make them live by their own rules."

And yes, that's true, but we always have to make sure we realize that's what we're doing -- not enforcing the PC codebook for the sake of the PC codebook itself.

And you have to admit, the NRCC guy's easy embrace of key SJW buzzwords -- "racist," "sexist," "xenophobic" -- sure makes it sound like he's embracing the actual ideology, not merely forcing uncomfortable shoes on to their feet to see how they like wearing them.

I just get the sense that many the party, especially in the Establishment part of the party, see their role as basically being, "Show that we can be better, more fair enforcers of the leftwing code of conduct than the Democrats are."

Just like they see their role in government as being, "Show that we can be better, more efficient managers of the leftwing welfare state than the Democrats are."
