The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"All Americans should have the equal opportunity to compete on a level playing field. But now, Congress and the Biden Administration have trampled on this foundational principle by giving tens of billions in special treatment to small businesses based on race and gender. This unlawful discrimination must stop," WILL President Rick Esenberg of the case, which was filed in Florida.

Quote II

“It’s possible and even likely that the bad economic news is going to get worse. The Biden administration has left inflation completely unchecked.” Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.)

Quote III

“Bottom line is Meghan McCain, you know, she couldn’t even sell 300 copies of her book. Nobody’s interested. She’s irrelevant. And she’s part of that establishment swamp section of the Republican Party. And they know their days are numbered. They know it’s over. And like a rabid dog who’s been cornered, she’s thrashing around and trying to throw a fit.” Arizona gubernatorial hopeful Kari Lake

Quote IV

“She basically skirted through as Attorney General when she was Senator, now she has a national platform and she just doesn’t have the skill set to articulate these programs, and that’s what’s happening. she’s being exposed.”Leo Terrell

Quote V

‘[The President] had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment,’

‘He’s just had so many things thrown his way,’ Jill Biden

FJB Flag is not appreciated.

A Texas man has shared a video purportedly of a police officer taking down an F–k Joe Biden flag from his property while no one was home.

Michael Prather, who says he lives down the street from the mayor, uploaded to TikTok what appears to a doorbell cam video of the cop’s alleged unilateral FJB banner ban.

In a series of TikTok videos, Prather provided background information about the controversy and responded to various online comments (*warning for language) which you can review and draw your own conclusions.

It's hard to defend yourself with a single shot weapon when four thugs are invading your home. Homeowner uses semi-automatic rifle.

Safety tip: don’t mess with an armed Florida Man. Video captured aspiring criminals knocking on a homeowner’s door in Escambia County, Florida last week. When he opened the door, two of them pushed him back inside while a third pulled a gun. As he was being pushed, the homeowner dropped a handgun he was holding when he opened the door and one of the attackers picked it up.

That’s when the homeowner grabbed a rifle.

I understand not wanting to work on Fridays. Once upon a time I had a job where we were done at noon on Friday. But how does one forget it is Friday?

Nobody wants to be in the office on Fridays

Haley LaFloure picked up a couple dozen doughnuts on the way to work. She forgot it was Friday.

The surprise she’d planned for her colleagues turned out to be on her: The office was empty. Everyone else at the St. Louis investment firm where she works had decided to close out the week from home, which meant LaFloure was stuck at her desk with enough sugary fried dough to last her a month.

“I don’t even like doughnuts,” the 25-year-old said. “I sat down and was like, ‘What am I going to do with these?’ ”

Ronald Reagan was the Great Communicator. Obama was TFG. But at least Joe Biden doesn't Tweet mean things. He's just an idiot mushmouth.

President Joe Biden has made yet another awkward gaffe, this time during a speech in the Middle East.

The commander-in-chief made the unintentional slip-up while delivering remarks in Saudi Arabia on the final day of his tour of the region, when he spoke of the "selfishness" of America's troops.

“For the first time since 9/11, an American President is visiting this region without American troops being engaged in combat — in a combat mission in the region,” Biden said. “We’ll always honor the bravery and selfishness — selflessness of the — and sacrifices of the Americans who served, including my son, Major Beau Biden, who was stationed in Iraq for a year."

Secretary of State Antony Blinken, situated near the president during the speech, became noticeably uncomfortable after the awkward slip of the tongue.

Make me believe? I don't think so.

Longer range, faster charging, less range degradation and a lower sticker price: That's all that new battery technologies are to bring to electric cars. And while, on a practical basis, I remain more enthused about charging developments like GM's recent expansion with Pilot and EVgo or Tesla Superchargers embracing the world, here are some new battery technologies that are strong rivals for my enthusiasm.

Lithium Ion is far from done
Sila Nanotechnologies is replacing the graphite anode that forms a lot of the bulk and about 15% of the weight of today's lithium ion batteries with a form of silicon that it claims will give battery cells a 20 to 40% increase in energy density while also charging faster. That change would be roughly analogous to a Ford F-150 getting 25 MPG this year but 35 MPG next model year, an unheard of jump.

Just keep this in mind when some EV evangelist starts preaching at you.

Moar insanity. "Chick" with a dick nominated to be Chick of The Year.

Lia Thomas, the transgender swimmer who dominated the 2021-2022 NCAA women’s swimming and diving season, has been nominated by the University of Pennsylvania to receive the NCAA’s Woman of the Year award. Up to two female athletes can be nominated by eligible schools and this year, there is a total of 577 nominees.

The award is designed to recognize “female student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in their community, in athletics and in academics throughout their college careers.”

Prior to this past season, Thomas had competed on the UPenn men’s team with middling results, before breaking out as a member of the women’s team, setting numerous records over the course of the season and dominating at both the Ivy League and NCAA championships.

Lawsuit against Skittles claims the candy is ‘unfit for human consumption’

Mars, Incorporated is being sued for its use of titanium dioxide (TiO2) in Skittles.

Mars, Incorporated is being sued by a consumer who claims that Skittles are “are unfit for human consumption.”

Consumer Jenile Thames filed the lawsuit in Oakland, California, on Thursday, claiming in court documents obtained by NBC News that the candy contains “heightened levels” of titanium dioxide (TiO2).

In a statement to TODAY, a Mars, Inc, spokesperson said, “While we do not comment on pending litigation, our use of titanium dioxide complies with FDA regulations.”

The lawsuit claims that the company “has long known of the health problems posed” by TiO2. It states that in February 2016, the company “committed to phasing out” the TiO2 in its product but has yet failed to do so.

The lawsuit notes that the toxin was banned in France in 2019 and that the company announced it would comply with the country’s law. Just last May, the European Food Safety Authority determined that TiO2 “could not be considered safe for consumption,” prompting the European Commission’s announcement that it would “adopt a ban on the use of TiO2 as a food additive.”

White male stoners need not apply.

The city is looking for a self-starter who is ready to roll.

Mayor Eric Adams is quietly conducting a job search for a first-ever “Cannabis NYC Founding Director” to rep the city’s marijuana interests once the state officially gets legal pot sales going.

The city is looking for a “senior level professional” with experience working either with government, regulatory entities — or the cannabis industry.

Adams’ new pot promoter can be either a lawyer, an architect, an engineer or an accountant, according to the job listing posted last week by the Department of Small Business Services.

City Hall told The Post they are already interviewing candidates for the position.

Nationwide Mental Health Hotline Launches This Weekend

Beginning today, people experiencing mental health crises will have a new option to address the issue at hand. On Saturday, a new three-digit number, 988, went live. The principle is similar to 911 — an easy-to-remember number that can be dialed or texted in an emergency.

As The Verge reports, 988 will connect people to the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. That encompasses 200 local call centers, as well as a national call center. There are a number of reasons why lawmakers and mental health advocates have pushed for this in recent years, including the importance of directing someone experiencing a mental health crisis to trained professionals in the correct field.

Personally I hope it works. But will Big Brother be keeping tabs?

He ran into the home and found four people. He helped get them to safety right away, but was then told one of the children was still missing.
