I really wanted to cover this story but I wasn't sure if you guys were that interested. I thought, "Well, I'll cover it when she gets canned."

So, it's time to cover it.

Earlier in the week, the Washington Post laid down the law: They wanted all of their "journalists" to stop denigrating other Washington Post employees on Twitter, or in public, generally.

Memo from Sally Buzbee to WaPo staff sent a few minutes ago: "We do not tolerate colleagues attacking colleagues either face to face or online."

Guess who immediately ignored this order?

Felicia Somnez, of course. Who decided that she was too special to be bound by her employers' orders -- she had to complain about Jose Del Real, who she'd just spent two days trying to get fired and get #Canceled, blocking her on Twitter.

To think -- he blocked Felicia Somnez! The outrage!

As you'll note, a fellow WaPo "journalist" had had it with Somnez's Princess Poopypants routine, and told her, "Please stop."

Spoiler: Felicia did not stop.

She's openly insubordinate. The employer laid down a very reasonable order, and she completely flouted it, again and again and again.

I repeatedly suggested that she was doing this to collect evidence for the appeal of her lawsuit against the post. I saw someone on Twitter with a better theory: She was deliberately attempting to get reprimanded or disciplined, so she could claim she'd been retaliated against for her "gender discrimination" lawsuit, and get it reinstated with a new charge added to it.

But if you thought Little Miss Entitled was done, oh boy, were you wrong.

Because she had another card to play. Accusing everyone who was tired of her constant Twitter bitchiness and attention whoring of being "anti-woman" wasn't getting her the results she wanted.

So she decided to escalate. And boy did she.

Earlier, you may remember, Washington Post "journalists" began creepily posting coordinated propaganda messages about the Washington Post being a "collegial," "collaborative," and "fun" place to work.

John Ekdahl suggested that they had been told to do this to to rebut Felicia' coming claim in her rebooted lawsuit that the WaPo was a "hostile environment" workplace.

But that wouldn't work, I don't think: Email records would reveal management put them up to faking this group propaganda effort.

It turns out the messages were coordinated, but what they were were a stealth "fuck you" to Felicia Somnez. They couldn't tell her to fuck off directly, because of management's no-disparagement orders, so they instead took to rebutting the claims she was making in an obviously coordinated way.

It was their way of telling her "We're tired of you and your Mean Girls tantrums and we would like you to fuck off to the Daily Beast, now."

Felicia understood what they were doing, and ranted about it. Note that once again she ignored management's direct order to refrain from criticizing fellow employees.

John Sexton reports her new escalation consisted of calling the people posting the "collegial" "collaborative" "fun" messages... She escalated to calling them all racists.

Note that some people anonymously criticized her in a Vanity Fair article as well; she groups all of her critics together as White Oppressors.

I don't know who the colleagues anonymously disparaging me in media reports are.

But I do know that the reporters who issued synchronized tweets this week downplaying the Post's workplace issues have a few things in common with each other.

- They are all white

- They are among the highest-paid employees in the newsroom, making double and even triple what some other National desk reporters are making, particularly journalists of color

- They are among the "stars" who "get away with murder" on social media. 10/

Of course the Washington Post is a great workplace.

It is a great workplace *for them.*

The system is working *for them.*

What about for everyone else?

Last time I saw a mouth like that it had a Quint in it.

Did I mention that when she wrote this she was under a standing order to not disparage other Washington Post employees?

At this point, she really left the cowardly, craven corporate cvcks at the Washington Post no choice but to fire her, although they seemed to want to try every possible way to avoid doing the obvious, necessary, just thing.

Per the Daily Beast, which I predict will be Somnez's next employer:

The Washington Post has fired national political reporter Felicia Sonmez, The Daily Beast has confirmed, capping off a week’s worth of highly public drama at the paper.

The Post declined to comment. Sonmez did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

One more point: Everyone keeps saying that Somnez is a "sexual assault survivor," because she claims she is.

I think everyone should read this article from Reason about her claims, and start using the word "alleged" in regard to her claims.

I have doubts. I have doubts.

And her behavior has only convinced me that she has very serious behavioral and psychological issues.

One more thing:

I can't reveal it, but there will be one more delicious little scoop to be reported on Fair Felicia, and it will not add to her credibility, nor buttress anyone's faith in her psychological resilience.
