Some might say, "What's wrong with making a girly show about a girl character?"
I guess I'd answer, "Since they made a girly show about a male character, Moon Knight, in fairness, they should make a very male show about their girl characters, but the M-She-U doesn't seem to be doing that. The female-led shows get made to appeal to female audiences, and the male-led shows also get made to appeal to female audiences."
By the way: The America Chavez character was originally a Hispanic human being. The nutty SJW hire Gabby Rivera turned her into a lesbian Dr. Frankenfurter type character from the "Utopian Parallel" where she had two biological mothers, because lesbians can get each other pregnant in utopia.
That was super-stupid and Marvel actually retconned that and said that was all "false memories." America is now a human being again who had a mother and father like human beings do.
But in the M-She-U movie -- they returned her to her "alien with two biological lesbian alien mothers" origin.
It doesn't even make sense. If she's an alien, how is she Hispanic?
Yes, Clark Kent is physically white, but he doesn't brag about being Caucasian or Caucasian culture, as "America Chavez" does. He tries to be a good human, not a good White Person.
America Chavez, the alien version, has no connection to Hispanics or Hispanic culture, being an alien who just got here when she was a teenager.
So why is she speaking Spanish? Why is she a Hispanic chauvanist? Why does she brandish herself with badges and pins signifying solidarity with La Raza?
These things could be justified logically when she was a human (even though they're still racist)... but not when she's an alien who just happens to have olive-colored skin.
Was the reversion to the stupid "My Two Lesbian Alien Biological Moms" backstory a Victoria Alonso decision? She is very, very chauvanistic about being "Brown and Queer," after all.
