Good News: Groomers Now Defiantly "Reclaiming" The Word "Groomer," Taking It Back
Plus: Leftwing Media Admits That Young Girls Are Imitating Mental Disorders They See on TikTok -- But Are Still Certain That Transgender Explosion is 100% Real

Queer author pens "Yes, I'm a Groomer" essay.

On May 2, Suzanne DeWitt Hall, author of the critically acclaimed children's series Rumplepimple Adventures as well as a number of books on 'gender-queer' theology, released a blogpost titled "Yes, I'm a Groomer!" in which she attempts to "take back" the word groomer, as it "has plenty of good, useful, healthy meaning."

Hall draws from her experiences as a guest preacher at Allendale United Methodist Church, a progressive church in St. Petersburg, Florida known for its vocal activism on various social justice issues.

Here are excerpts from The Groomer Manifesto.

A week ago I was the guest preacher at Allendale United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. Yesterday the church was protested by the Proud Boys and others who don't appreciate the messages of love and social justice the church posts on their street-side sign. In the week between these two Sundays, Rev. Andy Oliver was bombarded by accusations of pedophilia and "grooming" in tirades across social media platforms and other venues.

The hurling of the term "groomer" got me thinking. The word has been used for a few decades to refer to the process of acclimating children to sexual abuse, and the uber-right drinkers of Florida Gov. Desantis' presidential-campaign-flavored Kool-Aid have echo-chambered his speech writer's appropriation of the term to refer to anyone who supports LGBTQIA+ rights. But the word has plenty of good, useful, healthy meaning, and I'm going to step up and take it back.

"Take it back" means you're confessing to have identified as a groomer previously. Just noting for the future judicial record.

We all groom kids. Anyone who has a beloved child in their life is a groomer. Everything we do has the power to influence young people and instruct them on what it means to be human.

...

The following evening there was an award banquet at her school, which we were invited to attend. One of her friends is transfeminine with only partial support from her family. The girl wasn't able to express her gender authentically at the event, and our grandchild recognized her discomfort. She took several friends to the girl's table and sat with her for the remainder of the evening, so she wouldn't feel as alone, uncomfortable, and unrecognized.

Our grandchild is an awesome person, and would be without our brazenly queer presence in her life. But if there's a chance that our love and advocacy has played a tiny role in her freedom to be herself, and her deep compassion and solidarity for those who struggle to be themselves, then we are proud, and honored.

Yes, I'm a groomer. At least, I strive to be.

Meanwhile, a fourth grade teacher says she's queer and somehow "her kids" figured that out -- gee, I wonder if she was openly advertising this fact, "grooming," if you will -- and suddenly she has all these "queer" kids in the school.

She says all the kids are queer because she's queer.

That teacher has now been placed on administrative leave.

Grooming is just something that the right-wing is making up though, right? Even though "brazenly queer" groomers are increasingly proud to self-identify as groomers?

Could a queer teacher convince young, impressionable minds that maybe they're queer, too? Of course; that's why they're impressionable minds. They're easily impressed.

Sydney Watson discusses the social contagion of young, weak-willed teens -- mostly girls -- suddenly claiming to have multiple personality disorder, now called dissociative identity disorder (DID), only because some popular TikTokers are also pretending to have DID.

As she points out, DID is extraordinarily rare -- only 100 cases in the psychiatric literature. It's not only rare, it's a highly controversial "disorder" -- many practitioners think it's simply a faked "syndrome" made up by mentally-ill people, who are suffering from some disorder, for the sake of attention or amusement.

And yet suddenly there are thousands and thousands of teen girls all claiming to have "alters" (alternate personalities) living inside their heads.

And then making up their own TikTok accounts showing off their fantasy "alters."

Is this real?

Or is this a social contagion being spread by girls, who are known, as a psychiatric and historical matter, to be easy marks for social contagions?

I won't keep you in suspense: It's the latter.

Skip to 13:49 to see some girls, and one... trans-something (I assume), role-playing their fake personas.

The left worries that girls are being socially influenced to make up this trendy fake mental disorder, and others like Tourette's.Sydney Watson is drawing from an article in Teen Vogue, of all places, noting that social media pressure is driving teen and younger girls to fantasize mental disorders they simply do not have.

Until recently, it was rare for a young patient to come to psychologist Naomi Torres-Mackie, PhD, head of research at The Mental Health Coalition, with a formal self-diagnosis. It was even rarer for several of those patients to land on the same serious, trauma-related condition.

But lately, Torres-Mackie has seen several patients who cite social media as the reason they believe they have dissociative identity disorder, a condition induced by trauma so severe that the mind forges multiple identities to cope.

"All of a sudden, all of my adolescent patients think that they have this," Torres-Mackie said. "And they don't."

The DID community on TikTok is growing not only in popularity, but also in number. And as many mental health professionals urge young people to reconsider which experiences require pathologizing and what's just part of growing up, the reality is that social media is making that distinction exceedingly more difficult.

So they'll admit that DID is just a made-up, social-contagion fad spreading like wildfire among confused girls uncertain in their own personas looking for an Identity Gimmick to make them seem more interesting.

But then ask them about transgenderism, which has supposedly increased by 7,000% (seven THOUSAND percent) among girls in just five years, and they'll tell you: Oh, that's all real, you know.

Put them on a course of testosterone, stat, and prep them for double radical masectomies.

We have to "affirm" them in their Totally Real Delusion that they're dudes.

But this DID thing? Oh, that's just some bullshit social virus they're getting from social media and from the culture.

Does this make sense to anyone?! Including the people claiming it?
