Biden Will Scrap Trump's Title 42 -- Which Allowed Expedited Expulsion of Illegal Aliens -- and Expects a Border Surge So Large that DHS Is Seeking Volunteers to Help Process All the New "Undocumented Americans" Who Are Set to Rush the Border

Biden of course wants an open border and wasn't even cagey about hiding it -- he declared "no one" at all would be deported during his first 100 days, for example, so NeverTrump can't claim they didn't know their candidate would throw open the borders.

NeverTrump and Conservative, Inc. are pro-open-borders too, of course, but unlike Biden, they have to pretend to not be open borders radicals, to placate the conservative Rubes they're always trying to Con.

Title 42 allowed most illegal aliens to be deported quickly. It was ordered as a covid protection measure, rapidly deporting illegal aliens who may or may not be infected with covid.

Biden has repeatedly violated the law in refusing to enforce Title 42, and has repeatedly been ordered by judges to enforce it.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas broke the law when he wrote rules limiting which illegal immigrants can be detained or deported, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, slapping an injunction on ICE that will limit its ability to pick and choose whom to target.

Judge Michael J. Newman’s decision is a serious blow to the Biden administration. From its first days in office, the administration has tried to narrow the pool of illegal immigrants in danger of deportation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Judge Newman said Congress was clear in setting out classes of illegal immigrants who it thought should be mandatory targets and Mr. Mayorkas can't unilaterally change those.

The problem is that Title 42 needs to be re-approved by Congress every two months, and Biden is preparing to let it lapse.

Even though the Biden Administration fully understands this will provoke a fresh border crisis as nearly 200,000 illegal aliens rush the border again.

Border officials have used Title 42 more than 1 million times to rapidly expel migrants at the southern border without hearing asylum claims. But the Trump-era order wasn't set up to be permanent, and senior Biden officials are preparing for its end as the virus is brought under control.

Department of Homeland Security intelligence estimates that perhaps 25,000 migrants already are waiting in Mexican shelters just south of the border for Title 42 to end.

On Wednesday, DHS Deputy Secretary John Tien asked employees "to consider stepping forward to support the DHS Volunteer Force," citing large numbers of migrants at the southwest border, according to an email seen by Axios. The email seeks general support for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and help with data entry.

White House spokesperson Vedant Patel did not confirm or dispute specifics of Axios' reporting but said in a statement, "Of course the Administration is doing our due diligence to prepare for potential changes at the border."

"That is good government in action," the statement said. "As always is the case this Administration is working every day to provide relief to immigrants, restore order, fairness, and humanity to our immigration system and bring it into the 21st century."

Nothing about actually controlling the border and deporting illegals.

Top Biden officials representing multiple agencies have been meeting to discuss a whole-of-government plan to deal with the potentially record-breaking spring influx of migrants. DHS has branded it the Southwest Border Mass Irregular Migration Contingency Plan.

The plan is sweeping, reflecting how serious the Biden administration believes the situation could soon become, worsening a border surge that has troubled it from the beginning.

Biden knows the border will be so open, with so many illegals rushing across it, the Department of Homeland Security is asking for volunteers to help them process the new Undocumented American Citizens Who Have More Rights Than Actual Americans.

He "upheld" it while unilaterally -- without Congressional assent -- narrowing it so only the people he wanted to deport would be deported.

And now he's getting rid of it entirely.

More than half of the 164,973 migrants encountered last months were expelled under Title 42.

And now they'll all be settled in the US.
