Another Democrat House member retires, this one, after looking at the new congressional map Tennessee Republicans drew for him. Noted conservative activist turned Congressional candidate Robbie Starbuck claims partial credit. Good luck to him.

Robby Starbuck @robbystarbuck

When I filed to run, I said we'd make Jim Cooper retire. We did it before we got to Election Day. A new era begins now. In TN5 I'll fight to put America First, make sure mandates never happen again, fix our economy, hold China accountable and much more! http://Starbuck2022.com

Maskless Mask Karen Kathy Hochul tells the New York Post editorial board she'll have a gab session with Soros prosecutor Alvin Bragg to say, hey girlfriend, like with not prosecuting armed robbers -- what's up with that?

Supposedly, this is a shot across the board warning him that if he continues not prosecuting crimes, she will use her power as governor, which she does actually have, of removing a law enforcement officials who refuse to enforce the law.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has warned embattled Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg she's prepared to use her powers to force him to reverse his soft-on-crime policies, she told The Post on Wednesday.

"I have options, but I will be monitoring the situation very closely," she said, during a meeting with The Post's Editorial Board.

Hochul stopped short of calling for Bragg's removal from office, but said, "I know full well the powers that the governor has -- I'll be having a conversation very shortly to convey, to let him tell me what his plans are and make sure that we're all in alignment."

Yeah, but would she do this? A New York cop was just murdered by a criminal who was out on the street thanks to New York's clear-the-jails bail "reform" laws, and Hochul's response was to... call for the arrest of the "illegal gun."

And Hochul is defending the Decriminalizing Crime agenda:

"Kathy Hochul is so radical she is opposed to even allowing judges to have the discretion to keep violent offenders in jail," Langworthy wrote. "When New York City Mayor Eric Adams cited the 'ocean of violence' New Yorkers are living in, Hochul responded that she won't budge off their radical agenda.

"At least now it is crystal clear that she stands firmly with criminals over New Yorkers' safety," Langworthy added. "Every voter who wants to stop this madness must take her statement into the voting booth with them this November."

So, given that she's a leftwing stooge in the first place, and given that if she ever does attempt to remove Alvin Bragg he'll just start calling her a racist honky who won't even let the black man empty the prisons (with George Soros funding a major publicity campaign, no doubt!), I'm thinking that her statement to the Post's editorial board is pure bullshit.

The owner of Atilis Gym in New Jersey sentenced for not going bankrupt at the state's command.

Atilis Gym owner Ian Smith says that he received a sentence of one year probation after keeping his door open during lockdown mandates.

The Atilis gym has made headlines since the COVID pandemic started, after resisting shutdown orders from the state.

"We got one year probation for the crime of taking our doors off to prevent government goons from locking us out of our gym," said Smith, who added that the Atilis gym is open "and will remain open at any cost."

By the way, the place where I took martial arts classes did obey the state, and did go bankrupt. It's gone now.

But if The God-State says you must destroy a business you've worked a decade to build, well, you must always obey the command of The Almighty God-State.

All the "conservatarians" say so! Especially the atheist ones.

The Chronicle of Higher Education: It's time to cancel the word "rigor," which is just a code word for the idea that some courses and fields of study deserve their place at the university because they are difficult and because students will succeed or fail in them according to objective standards.

Far too many faculty members still think a challenging course should be like an obstacle race: You, as the instructor, set up the tasks and each student has to finish them (or not) to a certain standard and within a set time. If only a few students can do it, that means the course is rigorous.

We’re not in that camp. Lately we've been struck by recent conversations around rigor and grit and impostor syndrome. All three terms lay credit or blame on an individual when often it is the academic system that creates the constructs, and it's the system we should be questioning when it erects barriers for students to surmount or makes them feel that they don't belong. It's time we recognize "rigor" for the exclusionary concept that it is and for the preferential practices it usually promotes.

What a surprise! The True Conservative Neoliberals at The Bulwark turn out to be not just pro-abortion, but very derogatory about anyone with pro-life views, too.

Meanwhile, I think Bill Kristol must be suffering from dementia too. Maybe that's why he's so pro-Biden:

Bill Kristol @BillKristol Straightforward from here.

June 30: Court overturns Roe.

July 1: Breyer resigns, says Court “needs aggressive progressive justices.”

July 4. Biden picks Harris for Court. Harris resigns as VP.

July 5. Biden picks Romney as VP, says national unity needed for the world crisis.

I think he thinks this stuff is trollishly amusing. It's not. It's just clownish, and it reminds all of us that we lost nothing of any importance in the Trump Divorce, except that which we were glad to be rid of.

Who'd've thunk that large swathes of the old Conservative, Inc. were actually strongly aligned with the left on issues of critical importance to the conservative base?!!?

Norms and Civility Restored: Former Obama official calls Krysten Sinema a "c**t."

Alexander Marquardt @MarquardtA

A Russian invasion is now virtually certain once the ground freezes, Biden said to Zelensky, a senior Ukrainian official told @mchancecnn.

Kyiv could be "sacked," Russian forces may attempt to occupy it, "prepare for impact", Biden said, according to this official.

Elliot @Loh

Replying to
@MarquardtA
For everyone else wondering, from two weeks ago: "Ukraine tends to experience a hard winter freeze by January at the latest, but this year, the ground has yet to freeze in various parts of the country due to mild winter weather."

You won't be surprised who impeachment ringleader Lt. Bearclaw blames for this.

[A] big part of the problem has been the failure of Joe Biden in how he's handled the matter. He bent over for Russia on Nord Stream 2. In December, Biden said he wouldn't be deploying U.S. troops for Ukraine and was seeking an "accommodation" with Russia. In the past week, he seemed to say a " minor incursion" wouldn't prompt a severe response and said that Russia would ultimately prevail in such a fight.

That's on top of being Barack Obama's vice president , and Biden showing such incredible weakness in Afghanistan. Vladimir Putin knew that Obama rolled over despite his promises to Ukraine and did next to nothing in 2014. So, Putin has every reason to think he probably isn't going to be met by much resistance from Joe Biden.

So who does Lt. Bearclaw blame?

Trump.

Remember all the Conservative, Inc.'ers who fell over themselves to vouch for the credibility of this standout civil servant and unbiased straight-shooting military hero.

Meanwhile: Companies connected to Putin's Nord Stream 2 pipeline donated to Donald Trump.

Oh wait, that was a typo. I misspelled "Charles Schumer."

Affiliates of two European companies that fund Russia's Nord Stream 2 pipeline contributed to the campaign of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.), who Republicans say has blocked sanctions on the Kremlin-backed project.

Matt Walsh asks a trans activist what exactly a woman is. Despite asserting that he is a "woman," the trans activist cannot say what a woman is. Apparently a woman is whatever you want it to be -- which is of course exactly what a tranny needs it to be. Walsh says they're defining a woman as a "costume you can wear," which is exactly right.
