Several swimmers on the University of Pennsylvania women's team considered boycotting their final home meet of the season next week, DailyMail.com can reveal

The boycott would be in protest over the advantages of transgender teammate Lia Thomas, who has crushed records since competing on the women's team

Thomas previously competed on the UPenn men's swim team for three years as Will before transitioning

The swimmers ultimately decided against a boycott, for fear that it would keep them out of the Ivy League championship in February

They've discussed alternatives such as doing a false start or not swimming the event

A source close to the team told DailyMail.com, 'There is a feeling among some of the girls that they should make some sort of statement'

'Knowing they do not have backing from the school or NCAA, they're reluctant to jeopardize their opportunity to make the elite Ivy League squad,' a source said

A parent of a UPenn swimmer said, 'It's possible the swimmers may end up doing nothing because they are so afraid to be perceived as transphobic'

A group of swimmers on the University of Pennsylvania women's team were so upset over the advantages of transgender teammate Lia Thomas they considered boycotting their final home meet of the season next week, DailyMail.com has learned.

'They've been ignored by both Penn and the NCAA, and there is a feeling among some of the girls that they should make some sort of statement, seize the opportunity while they have a spotlight on them to make their feelings about the issue known,' a source close to the team of 41 women told DailyMail.com.

They've been discussing various possibilities for protest at the January 8 meet, wanting to express their opposition to NCAA rules that allow Thomas to compete on the women's team after completing one year of hormonal therapy, the source said.

They ultimately decided against a boycott, for fear that it would keep them out of the Ivy League championship, where the team's top 17 swimmers - out of a total of 41 - will compete in February.

'Knowing they do not have backing from the school or NCAA, they're reluctant to jeopardize their opportunity to make the elite Ivy League squad,' the source said.

Meanwhile, a USA swimming official resigned over the NCAA's continued indulgence of allowing a biological male to demolish girls in swimming.

The USA Swimming official who resigned over transgender U Penn swimmer Lia Thomas is speaking out, saying that allowing men to compete as women is "destroying women's swimming."

Cynthia Millen resigned last week, saying she could not support allowing Thomas to compete as a woman. But now, Millen is speaking out, revealing more of her disagreements with college sports for allowing the transgender swimmer to decimate women’s swimming records this season.

Millen told Fox News host Sean Duffy that puberty is one of the defining factors in classifying swimmers.

"I've gotten a lot of kind comments from fellow officials, former officials, and from parents of swimmers and swimmers," Millen told Duffy on Monday evening's Tucker Carlson Show. The fact is that swimming is a sport in which bodies compete against bodies. Identities do not compete against identities. And from the very beginning, when you start out as an age-grouper, swimmers are divided by sex and by age group: eight and under, nine-ten, etc., all the way up, because from the very beginning, this is just accentuated when boys and girls go through puberty...

"So while Lia Thomas is a child of God, he is a biological male who is competing against women. And no matter how much testosterone suppression drugs he takes, he will always be a biological male and have this advantage," Millen continued. "And it's horrible; the statement for women then is you don't matter, what you do is not important, and little girls are going to be thrown under the bus by all of this. He's going to be destroying women’s swimming."

On Christmas Eve, a female Olympic champion wrote to protest Thomas' presence in girls' swimming, stating, aptly, that she didn't like competing against doped-up steroid-pumped East German cheaters, and she doesn't like the new version of testosterone cheating, either.

I swam on the U.S. National Team for nine years, from 1976 - 1984, the same years that East German swimmers dominated women's competitions by cheating with anabolic steroids.

I was able to win three Olympic gold medals and a silver medal because the East Germans boycotted the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

We all knew they were cheating. The boycott announcement was a relief; I knew I'd have a fair shot at winning.

Now imagine if all schools were only responsible for sponsoring one sports team and they put their best students -- regardless of gender -- on that team.

How many girls and women would make it?

The average differential in the men's and women's 'A' standard times for NCAA championship qualification is 11.41%; meaning the women's times are 11%+ slower than the men's qualification times.

About the same differential occurs if you're looking at almost any group of swimming records or qualification times between men and women, including regional or USA Swimming qualification times, American records, world records, NCAA records.

The gaps between men and women are generally larger in the sprints than they are in the long-distance events.

So, how big is that 11% advantage in swimming times for male swimmers?

Enormous.

To put it in perspective -- Olympic superstar Michael Phelps held just a .08% of an advantage over his US teammate and rival Ian Crocker in the 2004 Olympics.

But Phelps held a 12.62% advantage over the women's gold medalist, Australian Petria Thomas.

Phelps' advantage over women equates to over 150 times more than the advantage that Phelps had over his male competitors.

If he had that same 12.62% advantage over his male competitors, he would have swam 6.47 seconds faster than he did to win the gold, or a time of 44.78 seconds.

Meanwhile, the gap between first and eighth in the men's Olympic finals was a tiny gap of just 1.31 seconds.

Lia Thomas, however, is not 11% slower, she is only 2.6% slower than she was pre-transition in the 200-yard freestyle, and just 5.76% slower in the 500-yard freestyle.

That is NOT mitigation [of his natural biological advantage via testosterone suppression]. It is NOT fair.

She also notes:

In all my years competing with East German women who were doped to the gills, they were only slightly better than the best biological women; not one of them were competitive with men.

Part of this is helped along by very stupid fourth-wave (or whatever stupidity we're up to now) feminism, which really believes there's no difference between men and women, except for what "society and culture" (and The Patriarchy (TM) ) instills in us.
