Brandon also kept suggesting the tests would begin arriving in January, when that's actually the time they'd start being produced.
A CNN corresponded said Wednesday that Joe Biden 'seemed confused' in his ABC News interview earlier this week, when the president appeared to mix up COVID-19 at-home tests and antiviral pills.
...
'Repeatedly throughout this interview - President Biden seems confused and was confusing the half a billion tests that they've ordered with a half a billion pills,' said Jeff Zeleny, CNN's chief national affairs correspondent.
'Of course, pills were in the news today with the Pfizer approval of the anti-viral, so he corrected himself, but that was one thing that stuck out to me.'
Zeleny, appearing on Wolf Blitzer's show on Wednesday afternoon, accused Biden of 'really not accepting any responsibility' for the lack of testing.
Biden, asked whether the administration should not have seen Omicron coming and prepared accordingly, said 'nobody saw it coming'.
By the way: Brandon has promised to "surge" rapid covid tests before.
On September 9th, he promised he was going to order 300 million tests to be made.
Here’s a breakdown of all his remarks on testing, where he talks about the importance of increasing the tests and what they're going to do to increase testing, including saying in March that they're working on making home testing available to people. Then on Sept. 9, he says he's going to use the Defense Production Act to increase the production of at-home tests and will have 300 million tests available so that people can have them.
So, he had already promised 300 million tests three months ago. What happened to that? Now, he's saying he wished he had thought about having 500 million. How bizarre is this? And does he not even remember what he says from one minute to the next?
But it gets worse.
Biden was warned in October that he should ramp up the tests to help mitigate the holiday surge of COVID, according to a Vanity Fair report.
See RedState for more on that.
CNN’s Jeff Zeleny says Joe Biden is “not accepting any responsibility for this lack of testing.”

And we have consistently seen the hard left propagandists -- including Salem Media's in-house hard left propagandist AllahPundit -- make a big issue of the red state/blue state distinction when covid hits red states hard, claiming that this is all because of Nonorange Man Bad DeSantis and his Demonic Choir.
But then when covid hits the blue states hard -- they get utterly silent about the red state/blue state difference in covid case rates.
Or they start babbling about "expected seasonal variability."
Weird that that only affects the northeast, and the west coast, and the Great Lakes region, where their favorite Democrat governors preside.

I gotta funny funny feeling something just became possible.
Here's Philip Bump talking about the objective media being replaced by a partisan subjective media and "bubbles."
