New York State's Top Government Ethics Panel Orders Andrew Cuomo to Pay The State the Full $5.1 Million in Profits He Made from His Quickie Cash-In Book

LOL.

This is sounds pretty communist, except... he was only granted an exception regarding making money outside of his official state salary on the condition that he not use state resources to write the book.

And he did use state resources to write the book. He had state employees writing it for him.

So essentially the State of New York wrote the majority of the book, under the direction of Cuomo.

New York’s top ethics panel on Tuesday ordered disgraced ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo to pay the state $5.1 million in book profits he made on the backs of taxpayers amid the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The extraordinary resolution was approved by the Joint Commission on Public Ethics in a 12-1 vote — a month after the ethics agency voted to revoke its prior approval allowing Cuomo to earn outside income from his book “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic” while he was still governor and New York was in the throes of the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

JCOPE rescinded its approval after concluding that Cuomo violated pledges not to use state resources or government staffers to prepare the book. He must pay the money to the state by next month.

....

Cuomo’s book deal also is being investigated by James, the FBI, and the Brooklyn US Attorney’s Office. The state Assembly Judiciary Committee’s impeachment report found that Cuomo used staffers extensively to help prepare the book — though he insisted the work was done voluntarily and legally.

Right, state employees under your authority were "volunteering" to do your outside-of-their-job-duties work for you.

Purely voluntarily.

Whatever, they were still doing this while being paid by the state. And of course they were using state-paid hours for the work.

So yeah, they were "volunteering" to use hours for which they were being compensated by the state for the personal benefit of Don Cuomo.

And:

Cuomo’s team was also accused of low-balling coronavirus-related nursing home deaths while he negotiated the book deal, leading to accusations he was trying to look better to make a quick buck off the tragedy.

There's no legal principle implicated by that, except for the one of How Dare You.

Cuomo says the panel's actions are unconstitutional, which they could turn out to be, and that he'd challenge them in court.

It was revealed a couple of days ago that Andrew sent Fredo on a mission to dig up political dirt on Janice Dean to discredit her.

Scoop: Andrew Cuomo's top aide Melissa DeRosa and Chris Cuomo discussed with allies ways to discredit Fox News' @JaniceDean over her criticism of the way the then governor handled nursing homes during the Covid-19 pandemic, sources tell me.

They called her "the Fox weather b*tch."

Chris Cuomo schemed to discredit Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean, allegedly calling her "that Fox weather bitch" in texts after she criticized Gov. Andrew Cuomo for transferring COVID-19 patients to nursing homes.

Fox's senior meteorologist Dean lost her mother and father-in-law to COVID in March and April of 2020, and became an outspoken critic of the governor and his deadly policy to allow COVID-19 patients into nursing homes, saying on "Fox & Friends," "He needs to go to jail!"

According to a source, canned CNN anchor Chris wanted to fight to defend his brother and texted with Andrew’s staff about how to discredit Dean.

The source said Chris allegedly asked in a text to an Andrew Cuomo staffer how he could go after "this Fox weather bitch..... Any help painting her as a far right crazy?"

May we all be blessed to have family members who will defend us -- or avenge us -- like "that Fox weather b*tch."

Update: Convicted mob boss Sammy "The Bull" Gravano says that Andrew Cuomo makes him ashamed to be an Italian.

Even mobsters say they wouldn't commit the grubby murders-for-donors this scumbag did.

The former boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City, Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, tore into Cuomo in a new series alongside former Colombo caporegime Michael Franzese over the deadly scandal that became a black mark on the former governor's administration.

"I hate to get into Gov. Cuomo. I will a little bit because he’s Italian and I can't stand it," Gravano said in the clip obtained by Fox News, confirming his disdain for the then-governor when pressed by host and moderator Patrick Bet-David.

"One, because he’s Italian and I’m embarrassed to have someone do what he did as an Italian," The Bull continued. "He killed 15,000 people by putting people with the coronavirus in [nursing homes] with old people."

"I don't give a f--- who tells me to do that, whether it's [former President] Trump, the president, the vice president, you, him, I would never do it," Gravano said, gesturing to Bet-David and Franzese. "And I'm a badass. I'd never do it."

Gravano also said that when an individual does something like the former governor's scandal and has "no concern," he thinks about his family, including his "great-grandchildren who aren’t even born" that are "going to deal with s*** like this."
