Fox News Finally Rids Itself of Toxic Leftwinger and Chronic Ratings Cellar-Dweller Chris Wallace

If you want to know how deep-in-the-bones leftwing Fox is as an institution, check out Chris Wallace's ratings, which I never knew before this column by John Nolte.

It's one thing to keep on a highly rated toxically leftwing biased anchor, if you're a money-grubbing corporation. That I could understand. Sure you're damaging your brand and alienating your core customer base, but if you're making money on the deal, I guess it's possibly justified.

But if you're losing money on the deal, and always at the absolute rock-bottom of the ratings pile, what could possibly impel you to keep on a toxic leftwing biased "journalist" who your customer base hates, and who clearly hates your customer base?

The only thing that would justify keeping him on is if you... agree with his toxic leftwing politics, and if you feel he brings you "prestige."

Always distrust anyone who claims to be "of the right" but somehow always finds himself chasing after the trinkets of prestige bestowed by the left.

These people are of the left -- you are part of the tribe which you believe is prestigious, the tribe which can confer prestige.

You are opposed to the tribe you think is low in prestige and even prestige-stealing.

Whatever you think of Fox News — and other than a couple of people over there, I do not think much of Fox News — it’s not just a cable news juggernaut, it’s a cable TV juggernaut. Fox News kills in the ratings. Fox is so far ahead of MSNBC, and most especially CNN, those two left-wing outlets hardly rate as competition. Fox’s only real competition is ESPN and networks like TBS and TNT. Week after week after year after year, Fox brutalizes its competition in the ratings—except for … the lying, left-wing, and utterly useless Chris Wallace.

For nearly 20 years, Chris Wallace has been the one and only Fox News name brutalized in the ratings.

Last week is a perfect example:

Face the Nation: 2.8 million viewers.
Meet the Press: 2.6 million
This Week: 2.5 million
Fox News Sunday: 1.2 million

So I’m not accused of cherry-picking, here are the ratings for the 2020-2021 season:

Face the Nation: 3.4 million
Meet the Press: 3.3 million
This Week: 3.1 million
Fox News Sunday: 1.3 million

Now, I am fully aware that Fox News Sunday is not a Fox News show. Instead, it broadcasts on the Fox broadcast network. But that’s what makes Wallace’s 18-year failure especially grievous. When you are riding the Fox News brand, there is no excuse for Fox News Sunday to lose to these other far-left Sunday shows, especially when Fox News Sunday enjoys the advantage of airing on a broadcast network.

And lying liar Chris Wallace did not just lose to his left-wing competition; year after year after year, he was humiliated by his left-wing competition. It’s not as though he sat in last place by a hair. This left-wing activist was serially humiliated.

Wallace’s failure is inexcusable, especially today when Greg Gutfeld’s late-night Fox News cable show regularly beats the insufferable Stephen Colbert and the equally insufferable Jimmys—who enjoy the advantage of airing on the top three broadcast networks.

I think there's a decent chance that Fox decided to cut this fat sack of leftwing fat loose themselves. That they chose to either not renew his contract, or offered terms so begrudging that it injured his bloated, corpulent ego and so he went a-courtin' to CNN.

Even so: Why did they keep him for so long? He's been a leftwing gasbag as long as I can remember. It intensified during the Trump years, sure, but they renewed him in... 2017.

After his egregiously partisan, unprofessional performance during the debates.

Did he still bring Fox "prestige" after that?

Here's a brief flashback to just a few of Chris Wallace's ugliest moments of leftwing partisanship -- just a few that a quick scan of twitter and my own memory disclosed.

During the debate, Chris Wallace repeated misinformation he got from the DNC and his leftwing media DNC-repeaters and claimed that the violence in Kenosha was caused by "white supremacists."

If Chris Wallace’s goal during Tuesday night’s debate was to deflect from the months of left-wing violence from Black Lives Matter extremists and Antifa and instead blame it on President Donald Trump and his supporters, he did an excellent job.

“You have repeatedly criticized the vice president for not specifically calling out Antifa and other left-wing extremist groups,” Wallace, the debate moderator, said to Trump. “But are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia groups, and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities, as we saw in Kenosha and as we’ve seen in Portland?”

Infamously, Chris Wallace also redefined Critical Race Theory as mere "racial sensitivity training," and then demanded to know why Trump had ended mandatory "racial sensitivity training" in government.

During the same segment, Wallace employed more Democrat talking points in what proved to be one of the most egregious exchanges of the night. Earlier this month, the Trump administration rightly announced it would be prohibiting federal agencies from subjecting their employees to woke “critical race theory” and “white privilege” seminars. Although critical race theory is itself a racist and toxic framework of social study, which posits that white people are guilty oppressors based only on the color of their skin and therefore lends itself to extreme “remedies” (such as looting as reparations), Wallace framed it nicely as “racial sensitivity training.”

“This month, your administration directed federal agencies to end racial sensitivity training that addresses white privilege or critical race theory,” Wallace said, couching critical race theory with the unobjectionable “racial sensitivity” phrase. “Why did you decide to do that — to end racial sensitivity training?” Wallace doubled down on the term. The implication, of course, is that Trump himself is insensitive to racial issues.

“I ended it because it’s racist,” Trump replied, factually. “A lot of people were complaining that they were asked to do things that were absolutely insane, that it was a radical revolution that was taking place in our military, in our schools, all over the place.”

Trump’s statements were true, but the truth wasn’t good enough for Wallace, who asked like a genuine leftist, “What is radical about racial sensitivity training?”

Trump didn’t take the bait. “They were teaching people to hate our country, and I’m not going to do that,” Trump said. “I’m not going to allow that to happen.”

Chris Wallace: Biden's inaugural address is "the best inaugural address I've ever heard."

“I thought it was a great speech,” Wallace said, noting that it was “colored by the emotion” of the Capitol riot just weeks before. “I’ve been listening to these inaugural addresses since 1961 John F. Kennedy ‘ask not.’ I thought this was the best inaugural address I ever heard.”

Chris Wallace was eager to parrot the false Democrat disinformation that Georgia vote reform laws forbade drinking water while standing in line to vote.

Fox News’ Chris Wallace claimed Sunday Georgia voters are prohibited from being given food or drink in line at the ballot box under a law the state’s governor signed last week.

“Let’s take a look at some of the provisions in Georgia,” Wallace said during an interview with South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham. “The one that I think is creating the biggest fuss, it prohibits, it makes it a crime to give food or drink to voters waiting in line. Senator, why on Earth if Americans are willing to wait hours to vote, would you make it a crime for people to come and give them a bottle of water?”
