Drew Holden has a thread recapitulating the leftwing propaganda media's incessant peddling of Jussie Smollett's lies, which are of course part of their broader political lie about America the Irredeemable.

It's worth reviewing. Here's his conclusion:

All of this happened because the preposterous story Smollett spun checked too many boxes (about race, sexuality, Trump) to be worth asking a few journalism 101 questions.

If you'd like to know why trust in the media is at an all-time low, look no further.

The corporate press loves to wax poetic about the terrible role of disinformation in society, and yet they race against each other to be the first to uncritically share an absurd hoax.

Maybe the real problem isn't a meme your grandmother shared on Facebook.

Smollett is only the latest in a long series of stories pushed by the corporate press that never materialized - from Covington Catholic to Russiagate and beyond.

If the press wants to rebuild trust, they can start by not uncritically promoting lies.

I'm not holding my breath.

The press claim that it isn't engaged in a propaganda war against the American people, but... Jussie Smollett knew the media would regurgitate his fantastically absurd lies uncritically.

How did he know that?

Is he a psychic?

Is he just... a good guesser?

Is Jussie Smollett some kind of seventh-level genius of strategic manipulation?

No, he's an idiot. I think he might actually be developmentally disabled. Look at the master plan he concocted with all the time in the world for rewrites and rehearsals and workshopping.

But he is capable, as is everyone else, of easily comprehending that the media is addicted to leftwing race-based propaganda and will spread literally any lie, no matter how laughably preposterous, that allies with its racial marxist narrative?

Notice that this True Conservative promoted Donald Trump when most in the media assumed he was a liberal conning the rubes and then turned savagely on him when he turned out to be a conservative (possibly conning the liberals, though I don't think he lied to them -- they just assumed he was lying).

I think that explains a lot of pro-Trump media behavior in 2016: they were glad to support someone they thought would be a liberal spoiler in the GOP (and someone they thought was unelectable, to boot), and then turned on him when it turned out he was as conservative as Reagan.

And also, of course: electable.

Again, Trever Noah was only able to be semi-funny here because Jussie Smollett's story was always preposterously, hilariously stupid. It was always comedy gold.

Why did the entire leftwing press not only push it as the truth, but in fact attack anyone who merely expressed skepticism as a "conspiracy theorist" or a crypto-racist? (And perhaps the "crytpo-" part of that is being too generous!)

I think this is Brian Williams' last show. Unless he was lying about retiring. And what are the odds of that?

So here's some news from the world of the mentally ill: trans "women" claiming they're menstruating, and then here are DIY instructions about how to fake menstruation. It's not as gross as it sounds-- and it's pretty obvious. It's just, um, getting a tampon and painting red ink in it.

I mean, it's psychologically gross.

But this is all very mentally healthy and we should "affirm" the gender fetish here.

Quick question: When in the history of psychiatric medicine was the prescription for a psychiatric disorder not that the person afflicted the psychological dysfunction had to either come to terms with reality or become resilient in the face of reality, but that the entire rest of the world must play along with the delusions of the delusionary person and pretend to see the warped reality that the schizophrenic sees?
