A gun rights group in Michigan sent out a press release to various media outlets protesting the rush to politicize the recent school shooting, and, of course, pressure the public into approving of the left's usual litany of anti-gun measures.
An editor at the New York Times subsidiary "Wirecutter" then left this message on their answering machine:
Hi, I’m a journalist with the New York Times. I’m just calling to wonder…I have two questions. How do you sleep at night? And aren’t you just like a little bit worried that there might be a hell and when you meet God he will send you there?
That’s just my only question.
Third question. The only people politicizing this seems to be you because you’re the only people I got a f@cking press release from.
Again, I am from the New York Times and I’m letting everyone in the New York Times know what kind of f@cking a$$holes you are. Congrats on being a laughing stock.
You f@cking ghouls. I hope that there is a God in heaven so he judges you when you die.
She didn't stop there. She also tweeted out their phone number and email address and invited her followers to harass them.
The New York Times said Friday that it is reviewing a top editor at the newspaper's Wirecutter.com for tweeting scathing messages about a gun-rights group, and for allegedly leaving angry, profane voicemails for the group.
They all think like this and they all believe exactly like this.
All that's being reviewed here is her embarrassing them slightly by going public with what they wrongly believe they have kept hidden from us.
Audio of the message she left below.
Note that this qualifies as a "death threat," as the left defies them. Anything that references death -- even if it's not a threat -- is called a "death threat."
If this message were left on a media figure's answering machine, the media would call it a death threat.
But a media figure left it on a citizen's answering machine, so it is merely some Colorful Language and possibly, at worst, some unprofessional ranting.
