New Lancet Letter: There Is No Evidence That Covid-19 Evolved Naturally

This new Lancet Letter is intended to redeem the sins committed by the last one-- the one secretly organized by Peter Daszak to exonerate himself.

That previous letter, organized by Daszak, claimed that it was proven beyond doubt that covid-19 arose naturally from a bat, and definitely not due to... the genetic manipulation conducted by Peter Daszak and his partners at the Wuhan Institute, including The Bat Lady.

This new letter says, "Everything that guy said was bullshit."

Just this week, a team of 16 international scientists and epidemiologists published a letter in The Lancet condemning the cover-up and requesting a more open debate about the origins of SARS-CoV-2.

The letter, entitled "An appeal for an objective, open, and transparent scientific debate about the origin of SARS-CoV-2," includes Rutgers' Dr. Richard H. Ebright as an author, who has long speculated about the origins of COVID-19 and has suggested a more open investigation into the origins of the virus.

The letter begins:

On July 5, 2021, a Correspondence was published in The Lancet called "Science, not speculation, is essential to determine how SARS-CoV-2 reached humans". The letter recapitulates the arguments of an earlier letter (published in February, 2020) by the same authors, which claimed overwhelming support for the hypothesis that the novel coronavirus causing the COVID-19 pandemic originated in wildlife.

That is, this new letter is rebutting the letter (and follow-up) secretly organized by Pandemic Entrepreneur Peter Daszak and his stooges.

The authors associated any alternative view with conspiracy theories by stating: "We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin". The statement has imparted a silencing effect on the wider scientific debate, including among science journalists. The 2021 letter did not repeat the proposition that scientists open to alternative hypotheses were conspiracy theorists, but did state: "We believe the strongest clue from new, credible, and peer-reviewed evidence in the scientific literature is that the virus evolved in nature, while suggestions of a laboratory leak source of the pandemic remain without scientifically validated evidence that directly supports it in peer-reviewed scientific journals". In fact, this argument could literally be reversed. As will be shown below, there is no direct support for the natural origin of SARS-CoV-2, and a laboratory-related accident is plausible.

Via John Sexton at Hot Air, DARPA vetoed a plan by Peter Daszak's Pandemic Gnomes at Wuhan to actually spread an enhanced bat virus among the bat population

Project Defuse was a grant proposal submitted in response to a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) funding call in the spring of 2018. DARPA eventually rejected the proposal because it considered Project Defuse tantamount to gain-of-function research.

Best I can tell, the idea was to collect a bunch of coronaviruses from bats in three caves in Yunnan province. These strains would then be tested on humanized, transgenic mice. But the main goal was then to introduce a kind of vaccine, first into captive bat colonies and later, if that went well, into live bats in the wild, i.e. field testing. The goal was to prevent "zoonotic spillover" of coronaviruses that were deemed potentially harmful to humans. Here’s how the NY Post describes it:

Scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were planning to genetically enhance airborne coronaviruses and release aerosols containing "novel chimeric spike proteins" among cave bats in Yunnan, China, according to the 2018 proposal submitted to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

They also planned to alter coronaviruses to infect humans more easily by introducing "human-specific cleavage sites" to bat coronaviruses.

The purpose of the research was to assess the risk of coronaviruses, work on ways to prevent outbreaks and even vaccinate bats against the virus, according to the proposal.

My reading of that seems so preposterous -- they planned to release a virus which could infect humans among bat populations, in order to... something something -- that I think I must be reading it wrong.

It must be that they were attempting to spread a vaccine against that kind of virus-- using a virus to carry it.

But that's insane. I mean, obviously, anyone with a room temperature IQ could see that vaccines carried by viruses, which reproduce sloppily and mutate practically with every infection, could quickly mutate into deadly viruses themselves, right?

Right?

Also, last week the NY Post reported that a Chinese defector warned in 2019 that the Chinese had released the virus before China acknowledged it.

China's most famous defector to America warned US intelligence agencies a coronavirus was spreading in Wuhan in November 2019 -- six weeks before China admitted there was an outbreak.

Wei Jingsheng, the father of China's democracy movement, reveals in a new book, "What Really Happened in Wuhan," that he first heard of a mysterious new virus at the time of the World Military Games in Wuhan in October 2019.

Countries represented at the games included France and Italy, which were soon facing covid outbreaks.

It was not until Dec. 31 that China involuntarily alerted the World Health Organization there was an outbreak in Wuhan. Beijing denied COVID-19 was contagious until January 20, 2020, when it admitted there was evidence of human-to-human transmission.

Wei said he found out about the virus from high-level contacts in Beijing.

Chinese authorities were acting to suppress news of the Wuhan outbreak, purging the internet of social media posts and news stories and "disappearing" dissidents and whistleblowers who attempted to sound a warning. Social media reports about a new coronavirus did not emerge until late December 2019 and it was not until the end of January 2020 that the US, Australia and New Zealand closed borders to travelers from China.

Wei says he warned someone highly enough positioned to be able to warn President Trump of the coming plague. But we don't know if that person passed the warning along.

Meanwhile, Trump said he saw intelligence about body bags being positioned outside the Wuhan Institute of Virology. As well as buying a coronavirus testing machine months before admitting the outbreak in December 2019.

The report notes that the it is known that a highly-contagious virus which is 92% identical to covid-19 was collected from a bat cave in southwestern China and delivered to the Wuhan lab.

It also notes that Lab deleted its online catalogue of viruses in December 2019 -- probably to delete evidence of this, or to delete evidence of a bat virus we don't even know about yet which is even closer to covid-19.

Unbelievably, Fauci said that of course we had to fund bat-human viral transmission in China (in a lab with a poor safety record and many previous outbreaks), because we wouldn't want to do it in the US.

Where it could escape into the population.

Fauci apparently didn't know that people in China could get on planes and fly around the world.

As Sharri Markson said: It is unbelievable that this incompetent, murderous troll still has a job.
