GOP Signs Arrest Warrants for the 52 Fleebagger Democrats

The arrest warrants are for the purpose of dragging the Fleebaggers who have returned to Texas -- but refuse to rejoin the legislature -- back to work.

Republican leaders in the Texas House signed arrest warrants for 52 Democrats who have blocked voting legislation in a standoff that stretched into its 31st day Wednesday, but it was not yet clear whether that threat would be enough to get lawmakers to return to the state Capitol.

Unlike a month ago -- when missing Democrats were in Washington, D.C., and beyond the jurisdiction of Texas officers -- some are now holding out from home. Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan, a Republican, said Democrats could be compelled to return under "warrant of arrest if necessary."

...

"People aren't going to jail," Republican state Rep. Mayes Middleton said, "but they got to come back to work."

A Hawaiian judge serving in Texas* issued a lawless ruling forbidding the legislature to do what the state constitution empowers it to do, but the Texas Supreme Court reversed that court.

The Supreme Court of Texas on Tuesday allowed for the arrest or detention of Democratic lawmakers who fled the state to stop passage of an election reform package they view as an assault on voting rights.

Gov. Greg Abbott (R.) and statehouse speaker Matthew "Dade" Phelan (R.) have threatened to detain the runaway Democrats in the state capitol and force them to discharge their legislative duties once they return from Washington, D.C. On Sunday night a state court judge in Travis County issued an order blocking Abbott, Phelan, and other officials from taking that step. Tuesday's move by the state supreme court voids the order for the time being.

Last month, Governor Abbot vetoed funding the entire Texas legislature due to the Democrats' fleebagging.

* Not really a Hawaiian judge. I say that because a large percentage of the judges lawlessly blocking Trump's policies through national injunctions were Hawaiian judges. Any hard leftwing activist judge is a "Hawaiian judge."
