Nancy Pelosi Orders the Capitol Police to Arrest Any Congressional Staffers Who Aren't Wearing Masks

Another victory for the snarling authoritarians of the left and the pseudoright.

Fake libertarians -- really, simply leftwing partisans -- like AllahPundit are dismissing the freedom to not wear a mask as a trivial thing.

This is what the snarling libertarians always do to defend taking away a freedom: They sniff that the freedom we're talking about isn't that important, and that Good People (such as themselves, of course!) aren't interested in exercising this particular freedom.

So, not a big loss.

It's always this way. What is beyond infuriating is that these people pretend to be "libertarians" to defend their defection from the right to the extreme partisan Democrat left, but somehow, keep finding new reasons to defend authoritarian impositions.

As long as they come from Nancy Pelosi and other Ministers of Freedom, and not from Noted Authoritarian Donald Trump.

A "libertarian" who only supports the freedom to do the shit he wants to do personally, like smoke dope all day, is not a libertarian.

It's just a selfish person who likes pot a lot.

No offense to the pot smokers; only offense meant to the fake, My Predilections and Only My Predilections Should be Legalized fake libertarian left.

So -- more cheerleading from the "libertarians" about authoritarianism.

Hey, there's no big deal about taking away this former freedom -- it's a Bad Freedom, and it has Harmful Consequences To Others.

Just like free speech. Another trivial little right we shouldn't complain too much about losing, if it's for The Greater Good.

Remember, the most important virtue in a True Conservative (Libertarian Wing) is being eager to contort oneself into any position to remain tolerable to the leftwing Karen Class.

Several GOP lawmakers refused to comply with the newly reinstated mask requirement on the House side of the Capitol on Wednesday, putting themselves at risk of having to pay hefty fines as punishment.

More than half a dozen Republicans refused to wear masks on the House floor, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Chip Roy (Texas), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Mary Miller (Ill.) and Andrew Clyde (Ga.).

But Republicans who are among the House GOP's most vocal firebrands made a point of refusing to wear them. Roy forced a procedural vote on a motion to adjourn to protest the reinstated mask requirement, which subsequently failed largely along party lines.

"Consider resentment being magnified right here on floor of the House of Representatives. We are absolutely sick and tired of it and so are the American people," Roy said.

"This institution is a sham! And we should adjourn and shut this place down," Roy added before forcing the vote.

The resentment was on full display Wednesday as lawmakers expressed frustration with having to wear masks again.

Rep. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.) was taken aback when he was about to board an elevator Wednesday with Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), whom he had seen on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time" two days ago explaining why he wasn't vaccinated.

"It's ridiculous that you're unvaccinated, unmasked and you're getting into an elevator with other people," Huffman told Donalds, before opting to board another elevator.

Huffman and Donalds, who still wasn't wearing a mask, crossed paths again moments later as they were both entering the House chamber.

"You're just incredibly selfish," Huffman told Donalds.

"What are you doing? Mind your business. Leave me alone," Donalds responded.

Strange that a leftwing Democrat would boss around an unvaccinated black person, given that the Democrats are all pretending that the most unvaccinated group are the dreaded White Working-Class Trump Supporters -- ignoring the fact that blacks and Latinos are more vaccine-hesitant -- or even Vaccine Denying! -- than white people.

The CDC reports demographic characteristics, including race/ethnicity, of people receiving COVID-19 vaccinations at the national level. As of July 19, 2021, CDC reported that race/ethnicity was known for 58% of people who had received at least one dose of the vaccine.

It seems that the media left is taking the same approach to unvaccinated status that they took with anti-Asian hate crimes -- they will never direct their messages towards black people (not in this age of St. George Floyd), but will rather attack white people for stuff that black people are doing, and hope that blacks "get the message" by the second-hand, implied bullying.

Which is also the way the media left handled the attacks on Jews -- attack white people for the attacks that were almost entirely committed by blacks (with the occasional Hispanic perp), and hope that blacks "got the message" from the berating that whites were given.

Didn't work then. Won't work now.

Kind of hard to believe that these people really care about vaccinations.

The only thing they actually care about is finding new ways to harass/attack/bully Trump voters. If they really cared about vaccinations, they'd direct their messages specifically to the groups most hesitant to get vaccinated.

But they don't. Not a bit. This is just more grist for anti-white-working-class hatred and leftwing Virtue Signaling.

Noted Very Smart Person Who Is Very Qualified to Assess Other People's IQ and Mental Acuity, Joe Biden, has taken to insulting the unvaccinated -- but I'm pretty sure he only means the white unvaccinated, and the media will add the context to make that clear.
