Taxpayer-Funded State Media NPR: Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire Is "Misinformation" Because It Favors One Political Party

I've said this before and will keep saying it: These are not words haphazardly chosen by The Cancellers.

They understand that social media has announced that people will be cancelled/deplatformed if they can be claimed to fall into a few categories -- "Misinformation," "causing harm" (which chiefly means "misgendering" transexuals), "racism" (except the racism that Democrats teach children in school), etc.

When they brand Shapiro "misinformation," they are deliberately fabricating the record upon which FaceBook will deplatform him.

They could just call him "biased." But "bias" is not a grounds for deplatforming.

And also-- they are of course biased themselves!

So they make the claim that Shapiro is biased in a manner that amounts to "misinformation."

And this is all done to create the "mainstream media record" FaceBook will cite when the Daily Wire is banned.

Here is your state media conspiring to make sure that no one can speak except the state media:

In 2021, Ben Shapiro rules Facebook.

The conservative podcast host and author's personal Facebook page has more followers than The Washington Post, and he drives an engagement machine unparalleled by anything else on the world's biggest social networking site.

An NPR analysis of social media data found that over the past year, stories published by the site Shapiro founded, The Daily Wire, received more likes, shares and comments on Facebook than any other news publisher by a wide margin.

Even legacy news organizations that have broken major stories or produced groundbreaking investigative work don't come anywhere close.

They always think they're entitled to an audience. Just a few weeks ago, Tater was shrieking that well-trafficked podcasts get better ratings than CNN.

Those absolute scoundrels! How dare they!

And no matter how many times this is explained to them, they refuse to understand that the leftwing has already taken control of almost all the means of communication -- TV, the biggest newspapers, AP, etc. -- so of course a dissident media will tend to dominate in the secondary and tertiary streams of communication... like FaceBook.

And now NPR wants the right driven off of FaceBook. The left wants complete control of not just the primary means of dissemination of thought -- the publishing houses, TV stations and networks, newspapers, magazines -- they want to also ban the right from the secondary means -- talk radio, for one -- and the tertiary means like the internet.

Daily Wire articles with headlines such as "BOOK REVIEW: Proof That Wokeness Is Projection By Nervous, Racist White Women Who Can't Talk To Minorities Without Elaborate Codes" regularly garner tens of thousands of shares for the site, and Shapiro is turning that Facebook reach into a rapidly expanding, cost-efficient media empire -- one that experts worry may be furthering polarization in the United States.

Note all the fear ginned up in that paragraph, starting with Shapiro's low costs and "efficiency" -- a threat to the "real" media! Packaging lies on the cheap! How can we, a major radio network funded by the US FUCKING GOVERNMENT, be expected to compete with this parvenu!?!

And then of course they claim it's Shapiro, rather than CNN or, forfend, NPR, that is driving "polarization."

"There's a demand amongst certain subsets of the public for outrage politics," said Jaime Settle, director of the Social Networks and Political Psychology Lab at the College of William & Mary in Virginia.

Oh you mean like clickbaity articles about Who Must Be Cancelled Next?

No of course you don't mean that.

You mean people on the right.

More "it's not fair that we have to compete with these cheaters" table-setting:

In May, The Daily Wire generated more Facebook engagement on its articles than The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC News and CNN combined.

Other conservative outlets such as The Blaze, Breitbart News and The Western Journal that publish aggregated and opinion content aimed at invoking outrage have also generally been more successful at generating engagement than legacy news outlets over the past year, according to NPR's analysis, which used data compiled by the media intelligence company NewsWhip.

Well when you have seventy major media companies all catering to the same narrow 10% cadre of gentry liberals and progressives, you're going to find that you're not getting as much traffic as the 20 major conservative sites playing to the 30% of the country that is conservative.

Nothing is stopping you, NPR, from fulfilling your actual mission to serve the entire American public and reforming yourself to serve up both liberal takes and conservative ones.

Except, of course, your extreme partisan animus.

The success of these outlets on Facebook may also undermine conservatives' oft-repeated claims that the social media network has an anti-conservative bias.

No, the left hamstrings us at every opportunity and has pressured 90% of companies to not even advertise on our sites.

We are bullied, harassed, deplatformed, and censored. The fact that we are not yet dead, while troubling to you, is not proof that social media companies are too nice to us.

Now, here's where NPR sets a new standard for "misinformation:" If you're biased to one ideological or partisan side, then you're "misinformation."

If you're on the right, at least. NPR would never apply this standard to CNN, the NYT, ABC, CBS, AP, NBC, MSNBC, or... itself.

But rightward bias? "Misinformation."

And misinformation must be banned.

While other media publications have seen their engagement numbers on Facebook fall off this year, The Daily Wire has stayed fairly constant, according to NPR's analysis.

"I'm depressed by it, but I'm not that surprised," Settle said. "This has everything to do with the psychology of news consumers and the broader issues with polarization in American culture."

''We're opinionated, we're noisy, and we're having a good time''
The articles The Daily Wire publishes don't normally include falsehoods (with some exceptions), and the site said it is committed to "truthful, accurate and ethical reporting."

But as Settle explains, by only covering specific stories that bolster the conservative agenda (such as negative reports about socialist countries and polarizing ones about race and sexuality issues) and only including certain facts, readers still come away from The Daily Wire's content with the impression that Republican politicians can do little wrong and cancel culture is among the nation's greatest threats.

Tell me, NPR, what do people come away with after listening to you?

Or watching legacy media tv programs in which the party affiliation of wrongdoers and criminals isn't specified for Democrats, but specified in the headline for Republicans?

And where the story is never about Democrat failures and malfeasances, but about "Republicans pouncing" on them?

Or the 94% negative stories about Trump?

Is none of that "misinformation"?

Not the Russia Collusion hoax?

No, of course not. That's just Good Honest Journalism.

The Truth has a liberal bias, as liberals in the media like to say.

Make no mistake: they are coming for Shapiro, as they're coming for me, and as they're coming for you.

YOU ARE NOT TO BE PERMITTED A VOICE. THERE WILL BE NO CHALLENGE TO THE REGIME PERMITTED.

THE MEDIA HAS DECREED THAT NO CHALLENGE TO THE LEFTWING DEMOCRAT CORPORATE ESTABLISHMENT WILL EVER BE PERMITTED, EVER AGAIN.

Ever wondered what it was like living in Germany just before the fascist takeover?

Well, wonder no more. You're in it. They are one step away from simply declaring that the the media, the Democrat party, and the corporate top 100 will select the president going forward.

But hey, NeverTrump -- at least we "restored our norms" and have "nice tweets" now, right?

Below, Biden again demands that FaceBook "do something" about "misinformation."

A category which the state media outlet NPR now insists includes Ben Shapiro and Daily Wire.
