Surprise! The Leftwing Propaganda Media Is Bitterly Clinging To Their "Trump Ordered Tear Gas" Narrative, and Inventing Conspiracy Theories to Explain Away the Authoritative IG Report

Explain to me why whenever someone on the right disputes the Official Word from the Authorities, they get deplatformed and banned for spreading "disinformation" and "conspiracy theories."

And explain to me why the leftist media can dispute the Official Word and invent conspiracy theories and never get banned or throttled or anything.

Shiiiiit, sometimes Twitter will even reward them by making their conspiracy theories and disinformation a #Trending topic.

As I mentioned in the sidebar, Philip Bump of the "Democracy Dies In Darkness" Washington Post continues pushing the possibly-Russian-promoted disinformation that Trump ordered the tear gas, and suggests that our government may be corruptly protecting the man it so obviously loved.

From John Sexton's post, here's Bump suggesting wheels-within-wheels conspiracies, with the Capitol Police rushing to help Trump and Barr. But without being told to do so -- sort of a "Who will rid me of this turbulent priest" situation, with a Silent Conspiracy launched, all with hints and felt, but not expressed, "pressure" -- the stuff that conveniently couldn't be reduced to evidence in a documentary report.

But there are other details which continue to suggest that there was a sense of urgency driven by the White House...

While there are repeated references within the report to the fact that the Park Police do not report to Barr, it's obviously the case that any pressure from the attorney general would not be insignificant...

It’s this distinction that is now the crux of the issue. There was a curfew coming into effect at 7 p.m. for which the Park Police chose not to wait. It chose to clear the area right at the moment that the White House was making preparations for Trump to come out. It is, in fact, possible that this was a coincidence that worked out for the president; that the Park Police were just about to push the protesters back and Trump just had to kick out his speech by half an hour.

It's "possible," he concedes, that the authoritative, richly reported, evidence-filed IG report is true, but, of course, he suggests it's false.

His suggestion is strange. Apparently he's attempting to blame Trump by saying that when the cops heard the President was going to walk across the street -- which is something, you know, he has every legal right to do; the mob does not get to keep him locked inside the White House like King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette -- the police felt a special "urgency" to make the street safe for the FUCKING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, and so acted with extra vigor, beyond that which they unquestionably already planned.

See, they already were planning it, but Trump and Barr "nudged" them to do even more than they were planning. Not with any words, just with a general, oh, je ne sais quoi in the air. A conveniently undefinable frisson.

That is some frantic, desperate, scrabbling and conspiracy theorizing just to avoid admitting "I pushed a lie."

It doesn't take that much effort, Phillie -- just pretend you didn't see it on Twitter, like AllahPundit does.

Notice the assumption here, which the left not only assumes but frequently states explicitly, that the left's paramilitary forces own the streets, and it is illegal for the police to eject them from the streets to make them routes of travel once again, and it is somehow illegal to clear them out so that THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES may safely exit the White House without being attacked by a mob already throwing projectiles at the police. (And who knows what else these trained paramilitaries had on them as weapons, just in case Big Game showed itself).

This is always the assumption:

If antifa wants to beat and kill (and shoot!) Kyle Rittenhouse, that is their right, and it is illegal to fire upon them in self defense.

If antifa wants to block you in traffic and imprison you in your car, that is their right, and it is illegal to assert your right to movement free of interference by bandits and drive through them.

If antifa wants to trap the president in the White House, and imprison him as the Parisian mobs did to the later-executed king and queen of France, that is their right, and it is illegal for the police to clear out the area to allow the streets to be used as, well, streets rather than gladiator pits for Marxism.

Fuck this. Fuck this. Fuck this fuck this fuck this.

This will not be permitted to go on much longer.
