The "Respectability Trap" and the Social-Climbing Bourgeois Fake Conservatives

The left has lost Trump. He was their go-to figure for ginned-up Leftwing Twitter Moral Panics.

Leftwing Twitter Moral Panics which every member of the pseudoright has eagerly joined in for fucking five years now.

Whether it's lockdowns, or Majorie Taylor-Greene, or QAnon, or masking, or double-masking, or even triple-masking, the left has put out a series of Trump Outrage Replacements, and members of the billionaire-funded "conservative" media have jumped on all of them.

Schlub cvck writer at the Billionaire's Newsletter Washington Examiner says that anyone opposing lockdowns is "Totally disgusting."

They believe every single foundational principle their urban progressive allies tell them to believe.

Do not bother asking him for the science that points up the effectiveness of mass lockdowns; the "science" is just a class marker. It is an article of faith among upper middle class social-climber bougie set that anything their class tastemakers tell them is true, must be true.

This is "science" as far as they're concerned.

Actual science showing that lockdown states have more deaths than non-lockdown states? That's not science, that's just a "totally disgusting" conspiracy theory.

This easily explains why the class-insecure, financially-challenged members of the cvck media class are so eager to repeat This Week's Leftwing Twitter Panic about Majorie Taylor-Greene.

Taylor-Greene has made some statements that the cvck class associates with the lower class or working class -- just as they associate supporting Trump with the white working class -- and so the cvcks all must Virtue Signal Social Class Signal on Twitter that they are not members of the lower or working class and do not truck with such "Dirties."

They have also all jumped on the left's political op that QAnon -- which is already dying, because its central claims about "Trusting the plan" were proven spectacularly untrue -- is the most dangerous force in America, and have all competed with each other to brag about how many drone-strikes they'd authorize to kill their fellow countrymen for the crime of disagreeing with them.

Ben Domenech noted in a recent Transom that most Republicans don't even know what the fuck QAnon is. But the Democrats, desperate for a new bugaboo to gin up a panic about, know much more about QAnon than Republicans.

transomqanon

And so, of course, the billionaires' playthings "conservative" media herd must all proclaim that QAnon is the equivalent of ISIS.

The same neoliberal Billionaire's Newsletter that proclaimed that skepticism about lockdowns was "totally disgusting" also proclaims that America must use military force against its own "insurgents," aka "Trump supporters:"

Never once do these bougie "cons" notice that the class whose class markers they are so eagerly collecting like Cub Scout merit badges are entirely created by progressives.

I'm going to say this more straightforwardly than I've ever said it. I've hinted around it, I've never said it straight up.

But here goes:

People loyal to the mores of the upper middle class are left-liberal. Period.

They should have no place in the leadership and "thought" leadership of any "conservative" movement. They are not conservative.

They are all pro-gay marriage.

They are all pro-abortion.

They are all in favor of shipping out every single working-class job to China, and, for those few remaining jobs which must be performed in America, shipping in workers from the third world to displace Americans.

They are all supporters of a soft version of the SJW progressive stack. They all believe in "White Privilege," for an obvious reason -- as the rich children of the prosperous upper-middle class, they're actually the ones born to privilege, but they wish to obscure that fact. So they buy into the left's claims about the "White Privilege" of 63% of the country, instead of focusing on the wealth privilege of 10%.

Jake Tapper will entertain he shares a kind of privilege with two thirds of the country but he will never acknowledge his real privilege, one shared by only 10% of the country.

And the social-climbing "conservative' media class is almost entirely born from the same prosperous class. They too do not want to talk about real privilege.

I always want to ask these guys, so desperate to peonize the working class: How far back in time do you have to go to find an ancestor who had a job which caused callouses to form on his hands?

Was it two generations ago? Three? It's obvious the "conservative" media class has never had to work a shovel in their lives. The toughest job they've ever held was working in their dad's law office, or valet parking Beemers at the country club.

And yes, they support the leftwing SJW claims about race. Bullshit like "minorities can't be racist," or at least not racist in a way that should be held against them.

That's why they all rushed to defend notorious, swaggering racist Sarah Jeong, and refuse to even acknowledge the eyebrow-singing anti-white racism seen every single day in the media.

To acknowledge there's such a thing as "anti-white racism," and that it ought to be condemned, is, they've decided, an "alt-right" idea, and the alt-right is a lower class phenomenon, and, as I've noted, they really, really really need you to know they are not lower class.

The only way in which they are arguably "conservative" is that... they are in favor of oligarchical fascism directed by the billionaires signing their paychecks.

Which is of course not "conservative" at all. But that's the one category in which they can make an arguable case for their "conservatism" -- in always championing the Ruling Class' right to rule over the downscale Dirties.

Is that the "conservatism" we want? A gonzo left-liberalism which is also thoroughly anti-republican, anti-egalitarian?

Now, does everyone in the bougie-con class need to be purged? No, not everyone. Some people do see that the dominant worldview of their class is hopelessly soft left-liberal. Some wealthy people are irascible enough, independent enough, iconoclastic enough, to reject the badges of respectability offered to them by their left-leaning social class.

And some people are assured and confident enough in their place in a class that they don't feel the need to signal their membership in that class by showing off their Class Markers.

Once you're rich enough to firmly belong to a class -- if not the next-higher class -- you don't feel the need to convince people that you belong to that class.

But more marginal members of that class -- aspirants to that class, people who want to belong to that class but just don't, the status insecure, those who would like to belong to an aristocracy but do not have the money or markers of prestige usually necessary to join it -- are the most eager and desperate to flash their Class Marker credit cards.

Belief-based class markers are the very cheapest and easiest class markers in the world.

Such people have proven themselves absolutely incapable of seeing that the class markers that give them self-perceived status are entirely products of a left-liberal social order consensus. They push and push for the leftwing worldview as "respectable." They never seem to grasp that the "respectability" they seek is simply the left's merit badge of political acceptability.

They're sheep. They're herdbeasts, going where their leftwing twitter shepherds tell them to go.

They are followers. They follow each and every Daily Twitter Controversy their upper-middle-class leftwing Twitter buds tell them to. They deplatform every non-respectable member of the Lower Orders (or those who think like members of the Lower Orders) that their leftwing tastemaker friends tell them to.

Anything their tastemaking leftwing friends tell them to be outraged by, outrages them. Anything their class-boundary-patrolling left-liberal twitter allies tell them to denounce, they obediently denounce.

They cannot be trusted, because while their bougie openly-left fellow travelers will permit them to take the conservative line on some things, like taxes -- rich liberals don't really want their taxes raised; what they really want is to be seen arguing for higher taxes, while their bougie pseudocon allies keep their taxes low -- any time that actual conservatives challenge something foundational in the leftwing cultural offensive, they demand their bougiecons to ally with them to stamp out the heresy, the ideological threat, and they ALWAYS comply.

Bougie "cons" are with you for the easy stuff but always defect to the left on the hard stuff. In fact, this is so persuasive it would be more accurate to say they are with the left on all things, except the small handful of things rich progressives want them to oppose.

As such, they simply have no place in any position of leadership or influence in a conservative movement.

45 [Cvckblog Washington Examiner:] We defeated al Qaeda and can do the same to the fascist thugs who attacked our democracy last month.

But only if we take similar hard measures against the enemy within.

Bitch please. You want to start a civil war. You can't even start a lawn mower.
