Former Fox Superstar of Soy Spin Shep Smith: I Don't Know How My Former Colleagues At Fox, Who Pushed Back Against the Unhinged Leftist Meganarrative, Can Sleep At Night

How do I sleep at night? Usually I jerk off, then I sleep pretty soundly.

(H/t to the movie They Came Together for that.)

Remember, this Sassy Susan was Fox's golden boy in the afternoons for ten years, declaring, in a taunting, sing-song voice that "Global warming is reallll..."

That's "news" from this Hard News Man.

Sheppie wants to know how anyone who suspects that the Democrats cheated in the election can sleep at night.

Say Sheppie, can you told me how things turned out at the Superdome? I heard some people were eating babies or something.

Discussing his role as a straight news anchor on Fox News, Smith said, “If you feel like the Fox viewers were getting mis- or disinformation, I was there to make sure that they got it straight. There were a lot of others in there who I thought were trying to do the same thing. But I thought that to just abandon it, and to deprive those viewers of and it wasn't just me there was an entire team working to get the news on the air, to deny them that, with the thought that they might replace it with opinion instead, seemed a little selfish. So I stuck with it as long as I could."

He's talking about Fox's archliberal " " " " News " " " " division.

I keep wanting to dish on some facts about Fox's " " " " News " " " " division, which I've known for a while but which I've kept quiet about until now.

I'll write these two tidbits as Blind Items.

Fox News' " " " " News " " " " division has been nearly as aggressive as CNN about "spiking" -- censoring -- stories that upset cherished leftist narratives about, for example, Russiagate. Fox News' determination to not air revelations about Russiagate caused a great deal of frustration for a senior, high-profile reporter.

Stories were spiked completely, or were forbidden from on-air mention, relegated to a no-publicity mention on the website.

Another Fox senior, high-profile reporter wanted to report on the Office of the Inspector General changing the rules so that Eric Ciaramella's bullshit second-hand claim could be passed directly to the IG, instead of having to go first to Ciaramella's superiors.

This senior, high-profile reporter had experience reading legislative histories, and so could tell, based on his own expertise, that yes, indeed, the rules had been rewritten days before Ciaramella's complaint was submitted. This was all done so that Ciaramella could bypass his superior and turn the complaint in straight to the Democrat Inspector General, appointed by Obama.

So this Fox news reporter said: "I want to report this."

Someone in the " " " " News " " " " division spiked the story and forbade him to mention it on air. "It's a conspiracy theory," this person said flatly and dismissively.

"But I've spent years reading legislative histories and how rules and regulations are changed," the reporter answered. "The record of how this rule was changed is an open record. Anyone can read it. Anyone with expertise in this area can understand it. And I'm telling you, as a subject-matter expert in how rules and regulations are rewritten, this rule was rewritten days before Ciaramella's complaint was turned in."

"It's a conspiracy theory," the Fox " " " " News " " " " editor repeated dogmatically. "You're not allowed to report this on the air."

And so it wasn't reported.

The idiot censor did not have expertise in this area. But I'm sure he had it that this was a "conspiracy theory" on very good authority from his pals at CNN.

That dialogue is made-up, but it conveys the gist of it.

Anything that defies the Basic Bitch left-liberal media narrative that Fox " " " " News " " " " " definitely does support and believe in is forbidden to be put on the air, at least during all the " " " " news " " " " parts of the day.

I don't know who exactly gave these orders, but I do know some of the people who act as the censors/arbiters in the " " " " News " " " " division.

I know, for example, that Bill Sammon, Chris Wallace, and Chris Stirewalt did not intervene and get these real news stories out from under the embargo.

So what were they doing there?

And that's why I've been calling for some people to get shitcanned. I don't know who is responsible for Fox turning into a filthy pit of leftist propaganda, but I do know the people who should have stopped it from becoming that -- but did not.

I also wonder if it was one of Fox's "Brain Room" of very liberal " " " " news " " " " editors who whispered in Melissa Francis' ear and told her it was Officially Forbidden to report the true and accurate fact that George Soros had spent millions getting leftwing, pro-crime communist DAs elected.

Meanwhile, Shep Smith whines that while he and his enablers and coconspirators tried to censor a lot of news stories, some of the opinion hosts broke the embargo, and that just makes xhim SO MAD!

Amanpour said, "Fox News in the opinion sphere and in other Rupert Murdoch enterprises perpetuated so many of the divisions, the lies, the conspiracies, the support -- look at Sean Hannity going up and doing campaign rallies for President Trump, so blurring the line to the point of becoming the propaganda arm of the Republican Party, I just wonder what you think about that now?"

Smith said, "I feel the same way about that now that I did then. My goal was to just keep the blinders on and just do my job to the best of my ability. I am always concerned when people -- opine all you like, but if you’re going to opine, begin with the truth and opine from there. And it’s that deviation from that that has caused me the greatest concern. I believe that when people begin with a false premise and lead people to astray, that’s injurious to society, and it’s the antithesis of what we should be doing."

He added, "I slept very well. I don't know how some people sleep at night because I know that there are a lot of people who have propagated the lies and have pushed them forward over and over again who are smart enough and educated enough to know better. I hope that at some point, those who have done us harm as a nation, and I might even add as a world, will look around and realize what they have done, but I'm not holding my breath."

Fuck these people. Fuck Fox to hell. Drive their stock market valuation down so far that Lachlan Murdoch gets sued and shitcanned.

We will eat no more Shit Sandwiches. We will no longer allow ourselves to be pawns of the corporate Controlled Opposition.
