Alleged "Anti-Authoritarian" Trump Opponents Begin Authoritarian Repression

The "anti-authoritarian" alliance of leftists and left-leaning former "conservatives" is so anti-authoritarian they're about to implement a slate of authoritarian punishments for their political opponents not seen since Woodrow Wilson.

Like the "anti-fascists" they're allied with -- who have to deploy some street fascism to fight "fascism" -- they're about to go full authoritarian while patting themselves on the back for being morally pure enough to resist authoritarianism.

At the National Review, William Kristol's son-in-law (#CancelNepots) declares "Trump must pay," and claims that Trump "incited" the riot, without noting the statutory requirements for an incitement charge or citing specific inciting language.

Continetti -- like the rest of the liberal neocons/neoliberals -- had nothing much to say about Joe Biden specifically refusing to even criticize antifa, nor did he demand that "Kamala must pay" for encouraging BLM and antifa, demanding, almost ecstatically, that "They can't stop, they shouldn't stop."

Update: Nice. That video just shows Biden refusing to condemn antifa and claiming "it's just an idea." So of course YouTube has limited it.

What accounts for the change in this little nepot's attitude towards "making people pay?" Well, specifically, Continetti, like most in the "Conservative, Inc." fake media -- really just an undisclosed lobbying group for deep-pocketed liberal/libertarian billionaires -- is actually a man of the left.

What "neocons" are -- what they always have been, and this is just the dictionary definition -- are former liberals who left liberalism over a handful of disagreements with their fellow liberals, chiefly about foreign policy.

But the neocons have always been liberals -- just dissident liberals.

That's why virtually every neocon policy proposal, apart from those that involve killing American working class boys in failed wars, involves achieving liberal policy goals using, supposedly, "conservative" tools, such as "free market forces."

Notice you never hear of a domestic neocon policy proposal that involves achieving a conservative policy goal.

It's always "Let's achieve liberal policy priorities through 'enterprise zones' or tax incentives!"

It's never, "Let's end abortion!"

It's never, "Let's control the border!"

And again: that's because these are dissident liberals who had a disagreement with liberals over a small handful of issues, but who are otherwise very standard-issue effete urban chattering-class liberals.

If it has ever seemed to you that neocons seem to be merely having a family squabble with liberals while absolutely despising conservatives -- then you have accurately sensed the truth of the situation.

Continetti and his fellow liberals are also willing -- eager, even -- to deploy authoritarian measures against conservatives because conservatives are their actual enemies. Conservatives booted them out of their 30 year ride as unchallenged (and unaccomplished) kings of conservatism, and their paychecks as advocates for liberal-libertarian billionaires are threatened unless they can regain control of the party.

Without control of the party, they have no wares to sell their billionaire patrons.

To peddle influence, you first need influence.

So yes, after resisting calls to brand antifa terrorists, claiming "free speech" protections for burning down cities, the neocons are chomping at the bit to declare conservatives "insurrectionists" and "terrorists" and weaponize the government, as Obama did, to squash their internal party rivals.

And remember: with every authoritarian punishment they support, they will tell you that all of this is necessary to "fight" authoritarianism.
