It would appear that the U.S. isn’t the only country with politicians not practicing what they preach during the pandemic.
In Canada on Tuesday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford ordered his finance minister, Rod Phillips, to "immediately" return to the country after discovering that he had left Canada earlier this month for a holiday.
Phillips and his wife left Canada on Dec. 13 and are still abroad, according to his spokesperson, Emily Hogeveen. His location was not revealed.
We now know it was the Caribbean paradise of St. Bart's.
Ford said Phillips’ decision to travel is "completely unacceptable" – given that Ontario’s government last month issued guidelines urging its residents to stay home in order to curb the spread.
Below, one message he posted on Christmas Eve -- from St. Bart's, while pretending to be in lockdown in Ontario.
In the below video, at 7:14, is the dishonest video Rod Phillips posted on Christmas Eve, heavily implying he recorded the message at home when in fact he was sunbathing at St. Bart's. (He recorded the message before he went on his secret vacation.)
Ontario's finance minister resigned from his cabinet position Thursday, hours after returning from a Caribbean vacation amid a provincewide lockdown.
Rod Phillips travelled to St. Barts on Dec. 13 despite provincial guidelines urging people to avoid all non-essential travel.
Premier Doug Ford announced the finance minister's resignation in a written statement.
"At a time when the people of Ontario have sacrificed so much, today's resignation is a demonstration that our government takes seriously our obligation to hold ourselves to a higher standard," Ford said.
Which, in fairness, is more than the American Democrat lockdown-hypocrites have done.
But I think he was compelled to resign by his superior, the premier of Ontario.
These ticks never stop sucking blood unless you force them out with a match.
More: Has-been (or never-was?) pigface Chrissy Tiegen and her useless husband scold people about following lockdown rules, then jet off to St. Bart's.
And they're such narcissists they had to post pictures of their vacay, too.
