First Administrations of the Trump Vaccine Given to Health Care Workers; Many, Many More Immunizations to Come

The first U.S. Covid-19 vaccinations outside of clinical trials began Monday, kicking off the most urgent mass immunization campaign since polio shots were rolled out in the 1950s.

A nurse in New York was among the first to receive the shot, and health workers throughout the U.S. were also set to receive the newly authorized vaccine developed by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE. Pfizer shipped vaccine vials out Sunday, and hospitals and health departments across the country received them early Monday.

A total of 55 sites nationwide had received vaccine shipments by around noon on Monday, said Gen. Gustave Perna, chief operation officer for Operation Warp Speed, the U.S. government’s coronavirus-response program. He said at a press conference that plans remain on track for a total of 636 locations to receive vaccines by Wednesday and an additional 581 between Thursday and Sunday, completing distribution of an initial 2.9 million doses. The vaccines are given in two doses several weeks apart.

The government has a reserve of 500,000 doses in case any problems arise, he added.

Bonchie from RedState notes that most in the media insisted that the vaccine would take up to two years, or more. And they constantly implied or outright asserted that Trump was lying about the vaccine's imminent introduction.

There was never any "science" behind these claims, just as there was no "science" to back up claims that HCQ would kill you. These were entirely political claims -- if Trump recommended trying HCQ as a possible cure, then the media and their NeverTrump allies (who are no longer Republicans, but simply New Democrats) had to assert that HCQ could not possibly help you and would likely kill you.

And if Trump said that the vaccine was coming along briskly -- and that was actually known for months, as the vaccines kept getting greenlighted to go to the next stage -- then the media and their NeverTrump New Democrat allies had to say, not based on "science" but on rank political animus and opportunitism, than no, the "science" says Trump's a liar.

Well the vaccine is now here -- precisely in the timeframe that Trump said it would be here.

Where are the corrections from the media? Where are the apologies?

Were is the censorship from Twitter and FaceBook and Google regarding past misinformation and harmful lies about the vaccine's debut?
