John Ratcliffe Declassifies Brennan's Notes Regarding Hillary Clinton Plan to Plant "Russia Collusion" Conspiracy Theory -- to Distract from Hillary Clinton's Server/Email Scandal

Note that this isn't confirmation that Hillary Clinton created this fiction in order to distract from her own very real feeding of US intelligence to Russia, through her illegal, unsecured Toilet Server.

But it's very, very close to that.

This story is about the head of the CIA personally briefing the president of Russian intelligence reporting that Hillary Clinton was preparing to smear Trump with the Russia Collusion conspiracy theory to distract from her own real national security scandal.

The fact that Russian intelligence is reporting this doesn't make the claim true.

But here's something that maybe does:

Why would the head of the CIA personally brief President Obama about this upcoming planned smear if the intelligence were known to not be credible?

That is, you don't go in to personally brief the president about any intelligence, both the jewels and the garbage.

You personally brief the president about intelligence that has the hallmarks of veracity -- or which is known to be true.

So: Brennan and Obama knew that the Russians weren't out to lunch, here. They knew the Russians had collected intelligence which was accurate. And that intelligence was that Hillary created a false smear to offset her own national security liabilities.

Otherwise -- why bother briefing Obama about "intelligence" known to be pure horseshit?

No. This was briefed precisely because Obama and Brennan knew that this was in fact Hillary Clinton's plan.

Sean Davis also underscores that Russia -- knowing that this was Hillary Clinton's plan -- would of course exploit this plan, by injecting their own disinformation, on top of the disinformation already supplied by Igor "Iggy" Danchenko, himself suspected of being a Russian asset.

Newly declassified handwritten notes from former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Brennan show that the U.S. intelligence community knew in 2016 that Russian intelligence was actively monitoring, and potentially injecting disinformation into, Clinton’s anti-Trump collusion narrative. The intelligence concerning Russia's knowledge of Clinton's campaign plans was so concerning to Brennan and other national security officials that they personally informed Obama of the matter in the Oval Office in the summer of 2016. The handwritten notes from Brennan were declassified by Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe and provided to Congress on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the declassified notes, Brennan and the U.S. intelligence community knew months prior to the 2016 election that the collusion smear was the result of a campaign operation hostaed by the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

"We're getting additional insight into Russian activites from [REDACTED]," Brennan's handwritten notes state. "Cite alleged approval by Hillary Clinton--on 26 July--of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to villify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services."

Say, wasn't Hillary Clinton's Chief Conspiracy Theorist Sid Blumenthal also one of her "foreign policy advisors"?

The notes appear to have been prepared by Brennan to memorialize a meeting held at the White House with the president and his top national security advisers....

At one point, Obama asked whether there was any evidence of collaboration between the Trump campaign and Russia, but any response that may have been recorded in Brennan's notes is redacted.

We're gonna need to have that unredacted. We need to know if Obama directed the head of the CIA to dig up any evidence to support Hillary Clinton's conspiracy theory and smear.

Note that the intelligence does not say, "The Russians have figured out that we now know they are colluding with Trump." It doesn't say that the Russia Collusion smear is a fact we know, but an connivance of Hillary Clinton.
