Chicago's top prosecutor, Kim Foxx, has repeatedly dismissed prosecutions against violent felons, including, obviously, the "protesters" whose "mostly peaceful" ways have cost this country $250 billion in damages so far.

She also obviously dismissed charges of Friend of Michelle's Jussie Smollett.

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx has dismissed more than 25,000 felony cases - including many involving charges of murder and other serious crimes - in her first three years on the job, a new report shows.

The Chicago Tribune on Monday published an analysis of Foxx's overall record on dropping charges, revealing that she has done so at a rate that's 35 percent higher than her predecessor.

Foxx took over as state's attorney in 2016 with a promise to bring criminal justice reform and to reduce the population of Cook County Jail.

She also took over with a big assist by communist revolution financier George Soros.

Foxx asserted that her office has focused on dropping cases against low-level, nonviolent offenders - though the Tribune's analysis paints a different picture.

It found that Foxx has consistently dismissed cases involving murder, shootings, sex crimes and serious drug offenses at a significantly higher rate than Alvarez did.

An alderman says Baby Groot is "totally unprepared" and asks the feds to step in to restore order:

If "unprepared" Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot can't get crime under control, the feds must be called in to help, a Windy City politician is urging in the aftermath of a chaotic night of riots and looting.

Brian Hopkins, an alderman who represents parts of the downtown area, blasted Lightfoot in a statement to CWBChicago Monday night.

"Our city was devastated by widespread looting and rioting for which our mayor seemed totally unprepared," he said.

He also accused Lightfoot of offering "nothing but rhetoric and blame," just like she did after similar riots in May.
