The Morning Report - 7/10/20

malignanpeopl.jpg

Good morning, kids. Friday, and the weekend is upon us. Nothing really new jumping out at me. The nation is on the verge of being overthrown by two generations of Americans brainwashed to hate their heritage, their parents and their own DNA, the benefactors (if not the inciters) of the revolution include the previous administration that actively plotted to subvert an already corrupt law enforcement and intelligence bureaucracy to sabotage and overthrow their political rival and the will of the people, while another branch of that bureaucracy, no doubt allied with the latter, have succeeded in foisting a massive psychological warfare operation on the public based on a virus no more deadly than seasonal flu as the excuse to wreck our economy. In other words, same shit different day.

In the midst of the madness, there are some flashes of hope that not everyone has gone out of their mind. Ford employees whipped out the box of Crayolas and dashed this garbage off to the C-Suite:

..."Throughout history, the vehicles that Ford employees design and build have been used as accessories to police brutality and oppression... We know that while many join, support or supply law enforcement with good intentions, these racist policing practices that plague our society are historic and systemic -- a history and system perpetuated by Ford for over 70 years -- ever since Ford introduced the first-ever police package in 1950. As an undeniable part of that history and system, we are long overdue to "think and act differently" on our role in racism."

Ford CEO Jim Hackett has a strong response:

"By taking away our Police Interceptors, we would be doing harm to their safety and making it harder for them to do their job. Again, this is why, given our insights, new capabilities and leadership, I believe these unfortunate circumstances present Ford with an even greater opportunity to not only innovate new solutions but also leverage our unique position to support the dialogue and reform needed to create safer communities for all."

Shorter version: No. We're not going to stop making police cars. Now get back to work...

While this is certainly a positive sign, it's fair to assume it's an outlier and not a bellwether. How long before the stockholders demand his resignation? Or worse, those who run the banks, investment firms or suppliers who are also the products of an American university education refuse to do business with Ford until Hackett knuckles under or is forced out? Well, for now, let's celebrate the victory, no matter how small or perhaps isolated it may be.

Elsewhere, and more crucially, the Supreme Court put down its reliably Leftist rubber stamp (Thomas and Alito the lone reliable originalists) and actually upheld one of the founding pillars of our Constitution (you know, the document written by white men that carves racism and white supremacy in stone forever); religious liberty as defined in the First Amendment.

... In all these cases, a majority of the justices decided that religious freedom is such a fundamental constitutional right that it cannot be so easily encroached to serve secular objectives. As the Supreme Court has now made clear, the principle of separation of state and religious institutions does not mean compelling an individual to violate his or her religious beliefs in order to fulfill a secular government policy objective that can be achieved in a manner that is more accommodating of those beliefs. It does not mean forcing religious institutions to compromise their own religious teaching standards. And it does not mean that parents who wish to exercise their religious beliefs by enrolling their children in religious private schools are automatically ineligible for state aid that is made available to parents enrolling their children in secular private schools...

Progressives want no walls at our nation's southern border. However, they wail about any nick in their fanatical secularist vision of an impenetrable wall of separation between church and state. The Supreme Court has wisely rejected this perverted vision.

Remember that you cannot achieve paradise on earth, or absolute totalitarian control, until you wipe out the nuclear family - a central tenet of Black Lives Matter (which has very little to do with Blacks, lives or even matter for that matter [but I digress]). And since the nuclear family is a cornerstone of Judeo-Christianity and western civilization, you have to kill off G-d, or short of that, anyone who believes in Him, in order to have the all-powerful State as ruler of everything. QED.

And that brings us to the gift that keeps on gaffe-ing, Joe "Sex-Knuckles" Biden. Good ol' Joe from Scranton, PA. Friend of the working man who loves riding the rails to work, or forcibly rogering aides at work depending on the day of the week. Mr. Moderate sure to win over disaffected MAGAns by the bushel. Watch him turn on the charm:

... Biden's response to the ruling for religious liberty was that "there is a clear path to fixing it," meaning the Little Sisters of the Poor could find themselves back in another legal battle should he win the presidency.

"If I am elected, I will restore the Obama-Biden policy that existed before the Hobby Lobby ruling: providing an exemption for houses of worship and an accommodation for nonprofit organizations with religious missions," Biden's statement reads. "The accommodation will allow women at these organizations to access contraceptive coverage, not through their employer-provided plan, but instead through their insurance company or a third-party administrator..."

The Obama-Biden "accommodation" policy is what the Little Sisters of the Poor were fighting against in the first place. They argued it still forced them to violate their religious beliefs. The Little Sisters, among other organizations, claimed that signing the agreement was the moral equivalent of condoning birth control and abortifacients...

But wait, the charm offensive (emphasis on the word "offensive") continued as Biden, or at least whoever is currently putting the words in his mouth along with the creamed corn, Fixodent and boogers, is now full on down with wrecking the free market:

...While Biden is incapable of sustained thought, his handlers are putting words in his mouth. Right now, they're advancing economic policies that are consistent with Bernie Sanders' plan for America. As Don Surber says, "Biden won the nomination, the communists won the party."

Forgetting that funds for corporations (aka employers and providers of goods and services that improve life) comes from individuals (aka shareholders) who invest because they hope to make money, Biden has come out strongly against shareholder profits:

"It's way past time to put the end to the era of shareholder capitalism. The idea the only responsibility a corporation has is its shareholders -- that is simply not true, it's an absolute farce. They have a responsibility to their workers, their community, to their country...

As far gone as this country is, there are still far too many normal Americans who are simply not down with this madness. All they have to do is watch cities being burned and looted as criminals are canonized and law and order demonized, while festering maggots like Malig-Nancy Pelosi have no problem with her stormtroopers tearing down the monuments to our heroes with impunity. "People will do what they do."

Not that I'm advocating it but I wonder if she'd feel the same way if "people" doused her winery or her home with gasoline and set a match to it, while she tries putting out the fire on her and her husband's backs with that $80-a-pint gelato.

And whatever the Democrat propagandist media embargoes, obfuscates or outright lies about, you can be sure that President Trump will be there to set the record straight. No wonder the heat is on to cancel the debates.

Have hope, and have a great weekend.
