Mostly Peaceful BLM Protesters Shoot and Kill an 8 Year Old Girl

There have been ongoing protests near the Wendy's restaurant in the aftermath of the death of Brooks and George Floyd, who was killed by police in Minneapolis on Memorial Day.
"Enough is enough," Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said at a Sunday news conference.

"You shot and killed a baby. And there wasn't just one shooter, there were at least two shooters," Bottoms said. "If you want to be part of a solution and not the problem, you need to clear out the area."

The shooting occurred near the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot during a struggle with police last month. Brooks’ death escalated protests that had already been ongoing since the death of George Floyd, who died in Minneapolis Police custody May 25.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms said during a press conference on the shooting that it’s time for people to “clear out of that area” where Rayshard Brooks was shot.

“This discussion, this mediation, and … it’s over. At a point where an 8-year-old baby is killed, the discussions have ended.”

The 8yo was shot as she and her mom tried parking in a liquor store lot, near armed civilians’ barricades around the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was killed.

Her family is pleading for help to bring her justice.
