Judge Dismisses Whiny Whamen's Soccer Team Lawsuit -- They Had the Same Chance to Pick a Bonus-Based Payment Model, But Chose the Safe, Socialist Pay Structure

But now that they actually won -- and would have been entitled to higher payments had they selected the bonus-heavy payment structure -- they wanted a Daddy Judge to undo their own decision and reach back in time to write a different contract for them.

The U.S. women's national soccer team has been fighting for months to receive the same rate of pay as their male counterparts. On Friday, a judge dismissed the claim for equal pay, but said that other allegations of discrimination can proceed to trial.

U.S. District Judge R Gary Klausner said he would not allow the equal pay allegations to go forward because the women's national team previously "rejected an offer to be paid under the same pay-to-play structure" as the men's national team. According to CBS Sports, the women's team sought $66 million under the Equal Pay Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

"The WNT was willing to forgo higher bonuses for benefits, such as greater base compensation and the guarantee of a higher number of contracted players," he wrote in the 32-page decision. "Accordingly, plaintiffs cannot now retroactively deem their CBA (collective bargaining agreement) worse than the MNT (men's national team) CBA by reference to what they would have made had they been paid under the MNT's pay-to-play terms structure when they themselves rejected such a structure."

The court will entertain their other silly complaints that they were "discriminated against" as far as air travel costs, hotel costs, etc.

In law, a juvenile can void a contract at his choosing, because he's legally incompetent of entering a contract. (Or, rather: He can enter one but he always has the right to void it, because he's a child.)

Is that what these Heroic Wahmen seek? To be declared legally incompetent children deserving of eternal protection and patronization by Daddy Judges?

When a man signs a contract, the law demands he keep his word. The law does not provide him a "But I'm a girl!" method of undoing it.

Why are these Heroic Wahmen incapable of abiding by the promises they make? Is it asking too much of them to expect them to act with the baseline level of promise-honoring that we expect of all men?
