Lyndsey Fifield: I Looked Back to See How the Media Greeted Trump's Announcement of a Travel Ban From China. The Media's Almost-Universal Reaction Was That Such a Move Was Overkill and That the Chinese Virus Was No Big Deal.
Okay, I made a bad call, Ripley.
A few of the tweets are below, but she's got more at the link.
Commenter CN added:
9 The anti-travel ban recs were trumpeted in the Gates' Event 201 conference and were stupid. Event 201 predicted 70million deaths, but travel restrictions were OUT

Here's another threat I've meant to link for days: This user, BodiazRising, went back to CNN's archives to compare how CNN covered the deadly H1N1/Swine Flu epidemic that occurred on Obama's watch -- and which killed four thousand Americans. 22 million were infected.
Update: I was wrong, I was looking at an incomplete count. It is estimated that 9,000 to 18,000 Americans died due to H1N1. Thanks to jhawk90 for tipping me that my numbers were too low.
So take a wild guess: Do you think CNN hyped this as an apocalyptic threat as they did when they wanted to tank the economy to damage Trump, or do you think they severely underplayed it and didn't even report when WHO declared it a level 6 (the highest level) pandemic?
Do you think CNN updated its readers with the H1N1 death toll every day, or do you think they almost entirely ignored people dying from the pandemic?
Well, you're wrong: Actually, CNN covered H1N1 just as breathlessly as they covered the Chinese flu.
Just pulling your leg. No, you were totally right. They basically pretended there was no pandemic at all under The Precious.
Oh, and what's this?
