"That's Where The Crime Is:" 2015 Audio Unearthed of Mike Bloomberg Declaring That You Can Just "Xerox the Description" of Criminals, They're "Male, Minority, and 16-25"

I guess this is an area that Bloomberg can claim to be "moderate" on.

Three problems:

1, This isn't a great position in a party which is majority minority and which is also driving hard to decriminalize crime itself.

2, not even Bloomberg's would-be NeverTrump fans can get behind this, as they're NeverTrump precisely because they accept 99% of the left's most extremist race-hustler positions. (It would be impolite to argue with their liberal friends, colleagues, and side-pieces about things that are No Longer Open to Debate.)

3, Mike Bloomberg has already denounced his previous crime-control strategies.

So now Bloomberg just has the soundbite to defend.

Buh Trump's Tweets...!

An unearthed recording from a 2015 Aspen Institute event reveals former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg defending the city’s stop-and-frisk policy by justifying police disproportionately stationed in minority neighborhoods "because that's where all the crime is."

"Ninety-five percent of your murders -- murderers and murder victims -- fit one M.O.” Bloomberg said in audio released by podcaster Benjamin Dixon. “You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16 to 25."

By the way, that's not an M.O. An M.O. is how a criminal executes a crime, not his racial and age demographics.

Just wanted to pile on.

Bloomberg continued.
That's true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city (inaudible). And, that's where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people that are getting killed. You want to spend the money on a lot of cops in the streets. Put those cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods. So one of the unintended consequences is people say, 'Oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.' Yes, that's true. Why? Because we put all the cops in minority neighborhoods. And the way you get the guns out of the kids' hands is to throw them up against the walls and frisk them.

In fairness, I don't think Bloomberg intends to reserve his "just throw them up against the wall and frisk them to get the guns out of their hands" to black people alone. I think he intends to take it W I D E.

This past November, Bloomberg tried to immunize himself against attacks based on his record as the Stop and Frisk Mayor in a Black Lives Matter Party, by denouncing his prior positions. And also, impliedly, his prior results in maintaining the the low crime rates (established by Rudy Giuliani) in New York City.

"I was totally focused on saving lives. But as we know, good intentions aren't good enough. As crime continued to come down as we reduced stops -- and as it continued to come down during the next administration, to its credit -- I now see that we could and should have acted sooner, and acted faster, to cut the stops," Bloomberg said at East New York’s Christian Cultural Center.

"I can't change history. Today, I want you to know that I realize back then I was wrong, and I am sorry," he added.

One wonders why this tape leaked now.

And which campaign leaked it. Apparently the audio had been suppressed -- of course!

But someone at the Aspen Institute had a recorder going.

I'm guessing it was probably one of Joe Biden's people.

Earlier, Bloomberg had been hit with old allegations about his sexism.

Mike Bloomberg has on repeated occasions faced and fought allegations that he directed crude and sexist comments to women in his office, including a claim in the 1990s that he told an employee who had just announced she was pregnant to "kill it."

"He told me to 'kill it' in a serious monotone voice," the woman alleged in a lawsuit. "I asked 'What? What did you just say?' He looked at me and repeated in a deliberate manner 'kill it.'"

Bloomberg has repeatedly denied that specific allegation -- which arose in a discrimination lawsuit that was settled out of court. But over the years a number of women have alleged in legal filings that Bloomberg’s use of lewd comments around co-workers fostered a frat-like culture at the company he founded and still owns. Quotes attributed to him in court filings include, "I’d like to do that piece of meat," and "I would DO you in a second."

Court records reviewed by ABC News indicate that at least 17 women have taken legal action against the company over the past three decades, with three of the cases specifically naming Bloomberg for his role in the company’s culture. None of the cases made it to trial – four were either dismissed or withdrawn, while five were settled out of court. Three cases remain active.

Buh Trump's Tweets...!

It will be interesting to see how the supposedly anti-racism and anti-sexism Democrat Party reacts to Bloomberg.
