Brian Stelter, Whose "Media Analysis" Show Consists 90% of Taking Republican Tweets and Dunking on Them, Whines That It's Not "Journalism" to Take His Tweets and Grind a News Piece About Them
Brian Stelter had tweeted disapproval of Justice Gorsuch promoting his book on Fox and Friends, although he never mentioned anything about Gorsuch appearing on CNN for the exact same purpose.
This caused some accusations of hackery and hypocrisy and incompetence -- as it should.
Someone wrote this up for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Tater, whose show is just Stuff I Read on Twitter Which I Want to Dunk On, now says that it's wrong to take tweets and turn them into news stories.
It is surreal to see 3 tweets, including one of mine, used as the basis of a long op-ed in the Philly Inquirer. Humble suggestion: Debate tweets here on Twitter! Use print editorial space for more important, and local, issues. pic.twitter.com/wbGbLgIvHi
