Aggregation of Polls: Impeachment Is Unpopular in Must-Win Swing States
This is an aggregate of recent polls.
Although impeachment is, supposedly, still more popular than not with a national audience, that national audience is biased towards very liberal states such as California and New York, based simply on population.
As to the swing states -- it's unpopular. A majority now opposes it.
In a dozen October and November polls on impeachment in battleground states like Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wisconsin, an average of 44% of those surveyed supported impeachment, with 51% opposed, according to the Post.
Meanwhile, the GOP report on the "Democrats' Impeachment" states that Trump did nothing wrong.
They claim there is "nothing inherently wrong" with the Trump administration’s actions toward Ukraine and justify each of them in detail, including Rudy Giuliani’s direct involvement in U.S. diplomacy.
They say any references to a quid pro quo are conjecture and hearsay -- including EU Ambassador and Trump donor Gordon Sondland's testimony.
They question the origins of the impeachment inquiry and Democrats' motives, and they allege that Democrats have wanted to undo the 2016 election since Trump won.
They mock Democrats for calling the impeachment inquiry a serious process, and they characterize the speedy nature of the inquiry as proof that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is motivated by politics rather than substance.
...
They say there was "nothing wrong" with asking questions about Hunter Biden's role on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian company, or renewing unfounded allegations about who interfered in the 2016 elections.
Even Senator Richard Burr -- a nominal GOP senator who is really a tribute of the Deep State -- now seems to understand that Ukraine did in fact "meddle" with US elections, on the side of Hillary Clinton.
"Every elected official in the Ukraine was for Hillary Clinton. Is that very different than the Russians being for Donald Trump?"
...
When asked if he would consider that as "meddling," Burr responded: "I mean, you’ll have to define meddling, but that was something that was publicly out there."
"It was called meddling when it was just Russia had a preference on who would win. And I'm saying, you can't go any further than that until somebody investigates Ukraine, if you want to find out there was more that went on," Burr said.
Axios follows the same Doublespeak Guide used by the rest of the media, calling Ukranian interference with US elections a "discredited conspiracy theory" -- omitting mention of the salient fact that a Ukrainian court found that Ukranian officials to be guilty of meddling in the US election of 2016.
Meanwhile, the media continues to push the truly discredited conspiracy theory that they, along with their political wing the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign, have been propagandizing for three fucking years.
