The Morning Report - 8/30/19

Good morning, kids. Friday and the Labor Day weekend is upon us. Latest on Hurricane Dorian shows that it has the potential to hit Florida as a Category 5 Storm. Also, the President has cancelled his state visit to Poland and no doubt will be marshaling FEMA and other federal resources to mitigate any potential damage when and if it occurs. If you or loved ones are in the potential path of this thing, be prepared, stay safe and get the hell out as soon as the word is given to do so.

  Now back to our regularly scheduled meshugas where we have reports that some dame named Madeleine Westerhout, who was Trump's personal assistant since the first days of the administration and had a desk literally just outside the Oval Office has been identified as a leaker, summarily fired and told never to return to the White House. Am I wrong or is what she did a criminal offense, and considering her position a damned serious one that merits a federal prison? Oh wait, James Comey! How stupid of me. More on that in a bit. If we can repeat the Westerhout treatment about 100,000 times in every damned agency, office and administration of the Federal government, we'd be on to something. People always bitch and moan about why Trump sometimes gain traction on things or advance policy initiatives and reforms within the Executive branch (let alone the Legislature [thank you and fuck you Paul Ryan]). Even with Deep State saboteur rat fink Dan Coats out as DNI, the DoJ on the orders of the President himself is still being stonewalled by lower level flunkies and traitors on the declassification of all FISA files that were part and parcel of the attempt to sabotage his campaign and then have him removed from office in a coup d'etat. They would be the smoking nuclear Long Tom cannon that would prove Brennan, Comey, McCabe, maybe Mueller and Wray and quite possibly Obama and Clinton orchestrated and executed the attempted coup. One which continues to this very day in the corrupted law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and every damn bureaucracy in DC, and blue state capitals across the country.

  And that brings us to yesterday's revolting display in which the Department of Justice released a damning report about the criminal behavior of former FBI director, and current Druid priest/tree surgeon James Comey that all but lays out a case of treason or acts that can be defined as treasonous behavior. But, as Lloyd Billingsley writes in FrontPage Mag...

  ...But the OIG did not recommend prosecution.

  That might be expected from an OIG who accused FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe of "lacking candor," and violating FBI policy. The OIG released the report just before the Labor Day weekend, when it was least likely to command attention. In similar style in 2016, FBI boss Comey released documents on Hillary Clinton's emails on the afternoon of September 2, just before the holiday weekend. Comey took the August 29 OIG report as confirmation that, as he said of Hillary Clinton, no reasonable prosecutor would charge him with anything.

  The former FBI boss went into his end-zone dance, tweeting that "a quick message with a 'sorry we lied about you' would be nice." That celebration may be premature. OIG Michael Horowitz is also investigating abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and Comey signed off on three of the four FISA applications for Carter Page. In addition, Attorney General William Barr and US Attorney John Durham are investigating the origins of the Russia collusion probe...

  ... Contrary to what Brennan, Comey, Wray and Mueller seem to think, the CIA, FBI and ODNI are not branches of government. They are government agencies in the service of the executive branch. As this week's OIG report confirms, government agencies can't be trusted to investigate themselves.

  As James Comey knows, the deep state is not like football, where the game does not continue until the penalty has been marked off. If nobody from the Hillary Clinton fix and coup attempt against President Trump winds up doing prison time, the deep state will have won.

  Bingo. For a long time now, I've thought of IG Horowitz as at best a joke and worst in on the cover-up. I still have hopes for AG Barr but those are fading rapidly. If he truly, as some pundits argue, wants to restore the integrity of the DoJ and the other aforementioned Ivy League skull and bones sewers, the only way to do it is to prosecute James Comey, and as Billingsley rightly argues in his article, John Brennan. And I don't mean 30 months in Club Fed and out in 6 with a book deal and a slot on MSNBC. I mean 30 years in prison-prison where, upon completing their entire sentence, they'll make Steve McQueen at the end of Papillon look like Charles Atlas by comparison. That is, if they walk out and aren't carried out under a sheet.

  If we allow these individuals not only to walk freely, steal our money in the form of government pensions, and worst of all, take to the airwaves to rub it in our faces, then that really is the bitter end for the republic. A just and stable law (to the extent we flawed human beings can ever have) of which no one is above is perhaps the central pillar to the functioning of a healthy society. We're already on a knife-edge as a nation divided politically and culturally. If Barr et al see not going after Comey and the others as a way of healing that divide, they're not only clueless but dangerously incompetent.

  Down at the border, the story reported about the Trump administration stripping US military kids of citizenship is fake news. The rule states that the government is not going to rubber stamp citizenship for kids born to those who have not lived in the US if the children themselves have also not lived here either. It's an attempt to get a handle on birth tourism and other fraud, but of course it's a piece of cake to obfuscate or otherwise lie about it as is the Media's wont to do. Also, report show the administration wants to seriously ramp up DNA testing of illegals, Montgomery County's illegal alien rape-rapers are up to six and counting (woo-hoo! [feh]), this Louisiana Senator Kennedy has a way with words, and Daniel Greenfield on the insanity of spousal abuse as a pretext for asylum.
